They do not want to drown.

They're worried for the same reason everyone else is worried; living in a world under global warming will be more difficult than the current one. Christians aren't immune from troubles that plague the planet.

the flooding caused by global warming isnt going to cover the whole world
just all the low lying areas where 69% of the worlds population live and vast food production goes on
;-)

christians worry about this because of the vast suffering related to complete ecosystem collapse, vast refugee crisis, disease, global shortages of fresh water and food and the fact that unaminiously-(apart from those employed by fossil fuel companies) the scientists and security analysts of the world see it as kinda a big deal, hence giving president bush a dossier a few months before 9-11 that stated it was the biggest single threat to global security and that war in the middle east was the worst possible course of action for peace.

Yes, Christians worry about global warming too. But we also have the hope that one day God's Kingdom will destroy those who are deliberately ruining the Earth (read Revelation 11:18).
Our planet was made to be inhabited by humans.

I dont think scientists have stated that the whole world would flood, we'd just lose a lot of land to the ocean.

God promised that seed time and harvest, marriage and being given in marriage would continue until the very end. So whatever happens the earth will endure until its ultimately remade.

I think christians are the problem that a lot of greenies and scientists have, since they tend to not care what happens to the earth or the environment, because they believe it will continue no matter what happens.

Noah funny storey - apparently, he used 3 giraffe as cranes to lift the hump back whales on board...
(one of the giraffe fell overboard, and drowned - just horrible it was, ever seen a girrafe fall out of an ark?? - it was left out of the bible as the storey was terrible enough without this major downer)

We all worry too... not just Christians... everyone. Global warming is not God's made problem... we did it by using cars and polluting the environment...

because god said in genesis that he had to put a rainbow in the sky to remind himself not to do that again (kinda like a string around god's finger.) between the dense air pollution, wondering if god can see through it, and the tsunmi - wondering if god lost his string- some christians are showing sanity in facing the problems of this planet. oh - and some think they are 'stewards.'
