I have the opportunity to do Missionary work in Africa next summer, and have asked the pastor at my church who is in charge for more details, but she hasn't gotten back with me yet, so I was wondering if any of you would give me your first hand experiences with missionary work in Africa, if they really appreciate you being there, and if you feel it was worth while? Please no advertisements, thank you!

My wife went back to school this year. She made it clear well in advance that the second week of October was a terrible week for her, as she was writing mid-terms. She really does have a busy day; when she's not at school, she cares for our son while I'm at work, and somewhere in there, she studies. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law were determined that last Saturday would be the day for a baby shower, even though the baby isn't due until December. They rented a big hall, invited lots of people, so there was lots of work to be done. My wife had no say. She suggested they put it off a week so she could help, but they insisted it would be that week.

The problem is, my mother-in-law kept pressuring her to help out with the baby shower. My wife respectfully declined. Now my mother-in-law, along with others who helped out with the party, are resentful that my wife did not help.

Did my wife have a moral obligation to help out, or are my in-laws being unreasonable?

Can a muslim father or brother change the diaper of his baby daughter/sister? ( I know they probably don't even do those domestic things, but if they needed to.) Til what age can a mother even see her son naked? (for bathing and such) And can a muslim woman have a man deliver her baby, and if not what do they do in an emergency? I guess I'm just wondering how far they carry the chastity laws and if there are exceptions, and also if the rules are different depending on what country you are in.

Is society becoming more comfortable with non-sexual nudity at places like beaches, pools, saunas etc. where nakedness should really not be a big deal?

What do you think...and why? And how do you personally feel about it?

Thanks for answering!

Well, I stayed up all night to catch up on schoolwork, and being only 9:00 AM, I am absolutely dead tired. I've already drank 3 cups of coffee throughout this mess, and I've eaten but I still feel like I'm on the verge of sleeping, which I'm trying to avoid. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Can we collectively, gathered two or more, grant powers and wishes to others by willing them in the spirit that is necessary to have them take place? If we wanted to have a healer amongst us, could we not find worthiness amongst us in beings who have expressed righteous judgement in their hearts recognizing that we are all parts of God? Could we not affirm that hidden healing power in those worthy ones and let healing come back to mankind like Jesus did? Was not Jesus affirmed by the cloud at his baptism and by the apostles before he was able to do miracles of healing? How do we apostle unto each other this way so that Greater Works can be done? What is it that we each need to hear to heal one another? I am glad you are here! I am glad you have these thoughts. I do too. and eventually....You are a Son of the Love of God in whom I am well pleased and I make my goal your goal because yours is a worthy goal, healing, and Ye are a god worth exalting for a moment anyway to heal!
