This presents 2 problems: 1) 600 million people believe that disobediant children should be executed 2) The other 1.4 billion believe that the bible is metaphorical and needs to be interpreted, but why on earth would god send the bible to man, as the only tool given to us to assist in entering heaven, and make it subject to man's personal and varied opinions?

I asked about how the law effects Freedom of Religion in cases such as using drugs or alcohol for religious purposes.
So now I have a survey for you.
Do you think the US has overstepped their bounds by restricting religious ceremonial acts?

These days, you can't discriminate a person in employment over their sex, colour, age, sexuality or religion any more (though I've noticed that the previously downtrodden people who the bills were supposed to help seem to find loopholes so that they can get away with not employing straight, white males). Recently, my next door neighbour applied for a building job but was informed the employer was only employing Poles and ages ago, somebody on the JobClub I was on applied for a job on Brittany Ferries, only to be informed that they only employed the French. With all this so-called equality around, how come people can still get away with national discrimination? Since we are a Germanic people and the French are Gallic and the Poles are Slavic, couldn't that come under the Race Equality Act?

In this world of destruction we live in, does funding charity organisations like UNICEF or Red Cross help the human kind? Are charities doing enough? And why have more than one world organisation for charity?

Christmas is coming up... What are some good gift ideas to give to a married couple who have everything? Nothing too pricey. I don't want to give them a gift card to restaurants, walmart, target or lowes. Already did that for their birthdays last month.

We've got the Safer Sex Ball coming up at University, a big, informal and fun event where all the money raised goes to helping AIDS awareness. The dress theme, as you might imagine, is anything orientated towards sex, from lads who go just wearing condoms to girls decked out in Ann Summer's finest.

Last year me and a few mates went as the Village People (I was the cowboy...leather chaps with nothing on underneath!). As you've probably guessed it's all good, tounge-in-cheek fun!

This year I was thinking of going as a porn star- PVC trousers, wide-collared leopard print shirt, medallion, fake ponytail and handlebar moustache topped off with a pair of gold-rimmed aviators. But a few girlfriends have suggested I go as Indiana Jones (I kind of look a little like a young Harrison Ford, and I'm studying archaeology). They say will will be sexy as opposed to all-out 'sleazy' (as the porn outfit was intended).

Which do you think?!

"Bush Signs Terror Interrogation Law", AP Breaking News, October 17, 2006

"WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush signed legislation Tuesday authorizing tough interrogation of terror suspects and smoothing the way for trials before military commissions, calling it a 'vital tool' in the war against terrorism ... With the bill I'm about to sign, the men our intelligence officials believe orchestrated the murder of nearly 3,000 innocent people will face justice," Bush said. A coalition of religious groups staged a protest against the bill outside the White House, shouting "Bush is the terrorist" and "Torture is a crime." About 15 of the protesters, standing in a light rain, refused orders to move. Police arrested them one by one."

Sometimes a see a letter that looks like u when an accent mark on it.
I have seen this kαληνuχτα or could it be spelled as καληνχτε?
In the first version of the word, there is an accent mark above the "u". Could that be a typo?

I ask this in response to a recent question from Oprah regarding “What makes you an American?”

I am an American -as are my parents, grandparents and the majority of my great-grandparents. How many native-born generations does it take before one is allowed to be - plainly and simply - an American?

Although still young in comparison to many countries, the United States of America is now 230 years old. I believe her citizens should have the right to be known as Americans by now.

I am offended by the endless forms I’m required to fill out that ask for my “ethnicity”. Often, I mark “other” and place the word American in the blank beside it.

When will the word “American” be enough to describe my ethnicity? Do the This-American and That-American ethnic and ancestral adjectives used by so many unite us as a people – or divide us? If the USA is the “great melting pot” – why are so many who are born, raised and choosing to remain here unwilling to count themselves as part?
