Use some photos of them and their family. Then use your software or a commercial service to make them a personalized calender for next year. With a big photo for each month and all of their important dates marked. We have done this for several people and it went over very well

Take some of their family photos without them knowing it (get them from other family members). Then buy an album and put the pictures in with brief notes next to them. This would be inexpensive yet thoughtful. Good luck.

i'm assuming that it is a random present swap when you consider that it truly is how maximum vacation activities distribute presents. stay faraway from gag presents. human beings might want to say they prefer them, yet those type of truly do is convey mutually airborne dirt and mud in a persons' attic. (imagine about it, at the same time as this is their turn no one ever elects to thieve the whoopie cushion). Lottery tickets are also a poor idea, because many anybody is adversarial to playing the lottery, and they could get stuck with the tickets. Boxed DVD instruments are relaxing and also you are able to frequently get solid deals on them at Wal-Mart or purpose, in basic terms seem to work out what they have on sale in the exhibit rack. in case you try this, attempt to stay extra mainstream on your decision (enormous Bang idea, How I Met Your mom, the workplace) and stay faraway from shows with a "cult" following (Supernatural, Firefly, or something anime-suitable). at the same time as those shows might want to correctly be large, some human beings in basic terms received't appreciate getting them as a present. Board video games (Apples to Apples, Clue, and so on.) are large too, because they are frequently performed on the social gathering after the present swap. present baskets are solid too - yet convey mutually them your self - you received't believe the markup supermarkets and merchants positioned on those baskets, and they in a number of of situations contain off-variety products. putting the basket mutually your self helps you to have more advantageous administration over what is going into the basket and also you may frequently avoid dropping money.

we give my in laws movie tickets in a basket with some candies. they love it! we give 24 tickets , one movie a month (each) for a year. they call us to let us know what movie they went to see and how they liked it (or didn't like it) and to say thanks again.
there is a bbq place in the town we live in that has THE BEST BBQ SAUCE ever! (heard about it before we moved here) so this year everyone from out of town (state) gets some.
i am a hairstylist so i usually give shampoo, conditioner, gel, spray, (whatever) to last a year for each person in the family. my family has gotten so large i can no longer afford it, though. this year everyone is getting a gift basket with lots of little things in it.

There are always new Christmas albums coming out. Look for one that is so new they couldn't possibly have it - CDs, I mean. Another possibility is to do tickets to a Christmas-related event. See what's going on in your area.

How about something for the kitchen? Do they have nice utensils, plates and glasses? If not, anyone of these could make a nice gift.

It depends on the amount you want to spend. I like the picture & portrait ideas. Something food related would be appreciated & enjoyed also.
More costly ideas: gift certificates for "Discovery Flights" (probably sold by your local flight school) or tandem skydiving.
