If you are religious, you are pretty much a robot who doesn't need to bother with what is right and wrong. Everything has a rule that you follow. You will find no joy in being religious. God doesn't care for religious people though, so it doesn't get you very far in His book, either.
If you have a relationship with your creator, however, every moment of your life is charged with life. That can only be accomplished through an intimate relationship with Jesus, who took all your imperfections upon himself and gave his life so that you can have a new life in Him. There is no greater security in all of space and time.

I used to be religious... I don't believe in God anymore. So I can say for myself that one of the securities that I miss is feeling that there's someone else in control of your life, and that there's hope for things to get better in this world, and that there's the hope of heaven. Another security is feeling like one of God's 'children'.

Heavy stuff. Religion teaches children that there is a right and a wrong path in life. Children used to grow up with religeon and times were better- now, well...just take a look around you- since eligeon has been taken out of schools, homes, etc.....
Anyhow, church is another thing: To church goers a place to be with God and feed their souls and mix with other christians. To me: I speak to
god (A higher power) daily and do not need a church as a crutch- it is an organisation like any other which gets rich off of its members. I have a great relationship with God, and ensure my children grow up with religeon.

Religion cannot give true, peaceful security in any way what-so-ever. Only God can do that, and He does!

You should have religion for truth, not security. Security denotes fear.
