Is society becoming more comfortable with non-sexual nudity at places like beaches, pools, saunas etc. where nakedness should really not be a big deal?
What do you think...and why? And how do you personally feel about it?

Unfortunately, in America there is still a strong governmental structure (puritan) and religious structure that is against nudity in public. While there are many people that are open minded (and there could have been for decades) and do not mind nudity of any kind, the American government will never pass a law where nudity is acceptable since it will be used against the person or party in future elections. How hypocritical it is that people can not be naked when appropriate, yet America makes hard core x-rated films! Just does not make sense... I'm all for it except I'm not in the best of shape so I would be very embarrassed.

I think Americans still have some neurosis with nudity in public places. I personally have no problem with it. I like to be nude, but have always had a bit of a problem doing it in front of other people. I believe I could do it at a beach though. I think society is a long way from accepting it as norm. There are still many people out there that have problems with public breastfeeding!!!

Sure hope so! Seeing people in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and comfortable in their skins/shapes/sizes, definitely helps in terms of reducing body image problems, in my opinion.
First time I went to a nude beach, felt weird for about half an hour (I'm a, uuuh, "full-figured" woman), then realized it was no big deal and no one CARED about the skin-shaped swimsuits....
After that, it was great!
And for anyone else who's wondering: No, it wasn't a wildly sexy erotic turnon (the casualness takes care of that), and no, it didn't interfere with getting turned on at later times in other settings by sexual nudity. The human brain is GREAT at compartmentalizing.

I absolutely think people are now more accepting of nudity in the appropriate places. Nude vacations have a tremendous business growth annually and look at all the people answering that they enjoy going nude at home!!
