I'm possibly moving to Los Gatos, California soon, and am coming for a visit this weekend. I'm looking for an LDS Single's ward that meets out there. Can anyone help me?

Not breaking the law, but acting proper. Example: Why does a 26 year old(me), have to act like a 26 year old? I own a company and take care of what I have, including my offspring. If one "grows up" then they get old. whats wrong with wanting to stay young?

Okay for those of you who ask about the crucifixion and proof. This is from the History channel. I can get as many things in evidence as I can. This is not to sway anyone by any means but to show that Christianity today is not totally without evidence.

execution of a criminal by nailing or binding to a cross. It was a common form of capital punishment from the 6th century bc to the 4th century ad, especially among the Persians, Egyptians, Carthaginians, and Romans. The Romans used crucifixion for slaves and criminals but never for their own citizens. Roman law provided that the criminal be scourged before being put to death; the accused also had to carry either the entire cross or, more commonly, the crossbeam from the place of scourging to the place of execution. The practice was abolished in 337 by Constantine I out of respect for Jesus Christ, who died on the cross.

The crucifixion of Christ between two thieves is recorded in the New Testament by all four evangelists (see Matt. 27:33–44; Mark 15:22–32; Luke 23:33–43; John 19:17–30). The significance of the crucifixion has been a subject for theological discussion throughout church history.

Here's the perfect reason:

... have you ever heard of Ivan Pavlov, and his experiment with dogs? Basically, he found out that if he rung a bell, and then fed a dog, after a while, just ringing a bell would make a dog salivate from hunger. This works on all animals, humans included.

Now. What do missionaries do? They go to developing countries, where food is scarce, and say God and Jesus, then give natives food and modern goods that many of us are so lucky to have...

... sound familiar?

Dog --> Food --> Bell --> Salivate
Human --> Food --> Bible --> Faith

And just like with the dogs...

... even if you take out the food factor, after a while, it'll still remain the same.

Dog --> Bell --> Salivate
Human --> Bible --> Faith

Just as Pavlov essentially tricked the dogs into thinking the bell meant food...

... the missionaries trick Native Peoples into thinking Bibles and Christianity mean food and technology, and, essentially, a better life.

What say you?

He was born in the middle east...before Christ was born there was no such thing as Christianity so was he born as a muslim and if not why not?

Also considering where he was born is it not more likely he was a black/brown man and not white as shown in pictures?

Always wondered that.
And incase your wondering... I don't have a religion myself.

My husband and my neighbor down the street are both stressing that my Kindergarten son be put on the school bus to and from school. Why? We live 2 miles from the school, I have no problem taking him and I feel 5 years old is too young especially how awquard and forgetful some children are at that age. My neighbor's daughter is 8 and she says she would like my son to ride the bus so her daughter will have someone she knows riding the bus with her. No 3rd grade girl is going to go sit by a Kindergarten boy, well maybe...but still I think I will take him to school for the first couple of years. Call me a protective parent, but I am. So how do I get my husband and my neighbor to stop going on about it?

Organized religion is a perversion of the concept of God. Non-believers don't have a problem with someone who believes in a creator and lives by the golden rule. It the garbage that's in the hundreds of supposedly "holy books," and religious leaders that are the problem.

Is it right for the modern city 'man' to take such "femine" care of himself?

I am very clean and wear nice clothes but I DO NOT diet, lotion-up, do face peels, see a hair dresser, work out to "look good" (there is a difference between beach muscles and real strength) get manicures or pedicures, buy expensive fashion named clothing or have accessories and do not own a Murse (a male purse). I just keep it simple i.e; I get a $5.00 hair cut every couple of weeks, shave my face with a Gillette when I feel like it, bite my nails, shower daily (and more after a game of soccer or a run) and wear Tag body spray to smell ok but not fancy. I attract female attention easily but do not get over-confident and do not approach women.

I do not understand guy's who take too good of care for themselves.

I've had it up to here with things. The other morning left early to go to work. it was about 6:00 am and the welfare neighbours were on their rental porch..still partying and pissed to the eyeballs from booze. As I was going to the car I heard one say...hey there goes the working guy...and they all laughed...one yelled out to me "Have fun at work...we'll drink to ya".

I struggle to make ends meet. Meanwhile guys like this have everything taken care of for them by the gov't.......now they are mocking me.If it wasn't for guys like me they couldn't do what they do. While stuck in traffic going to work I had an epiphany "What the hell am I doing, I should have joined them"

Am I a sucker for working...........why the hell do I do it when I can be better off unemployed?

I already have a job, but I need to make more money to help my mom pay bills at home ( my dad has abandoned us).

So now I am looking for a second job, but it's not easy. Do you think it's just better to tell the employers that I am applying for the job as a second job?

Or should I lie?
