I grew up in a Christian home, became agnostic as an adult and remained so for 30 years. I attended Basic Judaism classes at the local synagogue and discovered Judaism is not what I learned as a Christian. It all makes sense -- no miracles required!

Our congregation has about 30 conversions per year -- mostly former Catholics. Catholics are delighted to learn that not only are questions allowed, they are encouraged!

I have converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I recieved a testimony of it's truth through the feelings and impressions of the Holy Ghost. (See John 14:26-27 and Matt. 16: 16-17 for the Holy Ghost and some of the things he does for us.)

I gave up my former Christian beliefs and created my own belief system and lo and behold, it was Buddhism when I finally got around to reading about that philosophy. And now I realize I haven't totally abandoned the Christian beliefs either.

From atheism to Islam. Although I was convinced of being an atheist, I found myself secretly praying to God when I was in need of something. I was an atheist because I could and can not agree with the christian image of God and Jezus. I converted to Islam, because the picture Islam gives of God is one I can believe in, and because I find the teachings of Islam very inspiring for me to be a better human. The message of Islam is one of peace, respect, charity, brotherhood, modesty, love and sincerity.

I grew up Jewish and deconverted. I have no religion now. I chose to stick to reality and admit to myself that i don't know everything and i can't know everything... however, i should try to learn as much as i can about the reality that i am a part of.
