Jesus was Jewish
The term itself was first used by Hellenized Jews to describe their religious practice, but it is of predominantly modern usage; it is not used in the Bible or in Rabbinic literature and only rarely in the literature of the medieval period. The word Torah is employed when referring to the divinely revealed teachings of Jewish law and belief.
Like other educated Jews in his day, he was faithful to the law of Moses, learned in Jewish scriptures and oral law, steeped in the spirit of the Pharisees (the leading religious teachers of his day), and expectant of the coming of the Messianic Era (which he called the "Kingdom of God"). In his day, many people called Jesus "rabbi."
Like other religious, nationalistic Jews before and after him, Jesus angered the Roman government.
The Romans considered the ideas preached by Jesus to be dangerous. As a result, the Romans arrested Jesus during his Passover trip to Jerusalem. Then the Romans, upon the order of the Roman procurator, executed Jesus.
That is when he was deemed a Christian ... by the church.

The Lord Jesus Christ was born of Jewish parents.
It's rather amusing to see you mention the muslim religion in the same question!
Islam did not come into being for over 600 years after the DEATH of Jesus Christ.
God, (the Father of Jesus) has no religion, so being born as a Man,Jesus was brought up to observe the Jewish Faith.
He was a decendant of the distinguished Royal House of David.
In order to fulfil his destiny, Jesus lived and died as a Jew.
It is only the followers of Jesus that profess Christianity.

Jesus was a Jew and of the Semitic race which is what most Arabs are. He was probably darkish like people in southern Italy or northern Africa are today.
the Jewish religion is about 2000 years older that Christianity and what he or his disciples started was a sect of the Jewish religion which later split over the argument as to whether they should allow none jewish people to join them. The group that split off became christains. Islam was a later religion but the old testiment forms the basis of the jewish bible, the torah and the koran

Jesus was born a Jew, he couldn't have been a muslim because Muhammed wasn't born until about 500 years later. He was probably dark skinned, don't know why pictures show him as white, probably to make him acceptable to the racist whites of years ago.

there is not the slightest doubt he was Jewish and would have looked like an Arab, a contemporaneous description did note Jews had big noses
he could not have been a muslim as Islam was not invented untill about 700 years after he was born

So we have established and agree that this person Jesus was Jewish. So here we are, we see Jesus portrayed as a thin person with a Romanist type nose, but if he where Jewish would he not have been rotund, with a splayed nose.
So what other nationality could he have been?
