BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraq's government indefinitely postponed a much-anticipated national reconciliation conference Sunday as a two-day spree of sectarian revenge killings and insurgent bombings left at least 86 Iraqis dead.

Meanwhile, a militant network that includes al-Qaida in Iraq announced in a video that it had established an Islamic state in six provinces, a propaganda push in its drive to force the withdrawal of U.S. forces and topple the American-backed Iraqi government.

The Mujahedeen Shura Council — an umbrella organization of insurgent groups in Iraq — said the new state was made up of six provinces including Baghdad that have large Sunni populations, along with parts of two other central provinces that are predominantly Shiite.

Taken from ....Live Zetatalk Oct 7th 2006
We have stated that Jesus spoke to the common man in a manner they would understand, describing the current
Transformation of the Earth
into a home for those in the Service-to-Other
as a time when the meek would inherit the Earth,
a time when he (Jesus) as one in the Service-to-Other would return and live among them, and that this time would last 1,000 years.
This is not in conflict with what others have stated, as in our ZetaTalk description where reincarnation on Earth would not be allowed for those in the Service-to-Self, and the characteristics for those in the Service-to-Other or Service-to-Self. Jesus stated the 1,000 year span as this was something the common folk could grasp, as a description of the densities and their evolution would be too complicated and not carry forward well.

basically a flawed way of having a discussion about religion?

You can answer a question, then people will ask it again five minutes later (if they don't like the answer), as if it is new and enlightening and revealing.

Aren't we just going around and around in circles, until the stupidest question (repeated enough times, by highly motivated people) will always be presented as original and insightful, even though it has had brilliant answers to it -nin it's other ten thousand incarnations?

Are we atheists going to be stuck here foreever in some blyddi pointless battle of wills..and must we accept that it is absolutely pointless discussing here in this format?

I'm not saying they shouldn't, but can't a guy have more respect. They don't seem to understand that it's embarrassing to their girl and it also makes their relationship a target for that rare girl who is a man-snatching predator.

I am just curious what everyone thinks. For example if you say something judgmental, and someone tells you to get over yourself or that you are being judgmental then they are also judgmental; and by me saying that they are judgmental then I am again being judgmental and so on and so on. I am just wondering if perhaps it is in human nature to be judgmental and if there is any way to stop being so.

1st) How come jews believe that Elijah will return and announce the comming of the Messiah? Is that why jews don't believe that jesus was a Messiah, bc Elijah didn't announce it? (notice i didn't say "the messiah" because other people have been called messiah's by the jews ex. cyrus the great, bar kokhba... ) I couldn't help notice this while i saw a place for Elijah (maybe it was a cup of wine dedicated to him) during the Seder at a dinner table once and i became curious .

2nd question.... why do the christians not call God yahweh?(yhwh) That part of the jewish bible is also in the christian old testiment, yet christians do not call him that.

3rd question... i couldn't help notice that the ten commandments from the jewish bible is different from the christians. I understand that there are many different versions of bibles and many more than 10 commandments, but why are the 10 main ones different?? Did christians change it?

i enjoy studying different religions

After the whole school shooting incident, i've felt so bad for the Amish. I mean those people don't hurt anyone and some stupid sick bastard comes in and shoots their children and they forgive him. They are so sweet.

I've read a lot about how the Queen of England isn't really rich herself and that a lot of the property and wealth she has isn't even hers, like it's owned by the crown. But isn't she herself considered the crown? I know a lot of what she owns comes from past queens and kings, but those monarchs can't technically own it because of their death, right?

Every now and then a friend or acquaintance informs me that someone they know has died - perhaps a parent, sibling or even a good friend. I always feel at a loss as to what to say in these situations. Is there an appropriate way to react/respond? Does anyone have a simple phrase that you can use in such situations to express your empathy without sounding overly soppy and sentimental but without also sounding careless and callous?

Thanks!

Can we not accept that although we have minor differences in our Bibles, and our denominations that we share the same God, the same Christ, and the same hope? I will admit that I have wasted time too in this dispute and meant no harm. I was truly trying to explain my position and got carried away.
