Because some people haven't witnessed the supernatural doesn't mean it is not there. Just because I have to joy of the Lord in me doesn't lower my IQ.

That is right. You are not ignorant just because you are Christian. I know many Christians that know alot about other religions and the supernatural. And this is coming out of the mouth of a non-christian.

judge not, that ye be not judged.for with what judgement ye judge,ye shall be judged, and with what measure ye mete,it shall be measured against you,
this is what happens when christians are very vocal and condemn atheists ,gays, muslims and support war which is contrary to what the new testament preaches .I am not saying you are one of these hypocrites ,but as you have noticed the christians versus everyone on yahoo answers conflict is intense ,and just like every other social group suffers cause of a few bad apples so does your christian group ,cause some who dont know christians automatically assume that you are all the same and the names are not very nice, so I will not go there ,maybe if if we all had more integrity this issue would not exist, but we dont and it does. so who cares, dont take others seriously who do not take you seriously, live and let live

No it does not automatically make you ignorant. But, since the supernatural is not testable, repeatable, or any other way provable it still gives no proof that anything supernatural actually occurs.

And as far as Christians that are intelligent, I myself am amazed at some of the seemingly 'smart' Christians, that are still willing to buy into goofy myths and superstitions, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

Being ignorant of something does not mean you are not a smart person. You can have a high IQ, but still be ignorant. No one knows everything, so therefore, everyone is ignorant of something. I don't know how to build a car, so, I'm ignorant of that. Doesn't mean I'm stupid, just that I don't know how to build a car. Ignorant does not mean rude, it means you don't know about a certain subject.

Studies say that a person with a lower IQ is more likely to be religious that someone with a higher one. Basically, you're not ignorant because you're a Christian, you're a Christian because your ignorant.

I was a Christian for 20 years. You being a Christian doesn't say anything to me about your intelligence... I have different explanations for experiencing what's known as the "supernatural," that's all.

Great question!

Why did Jesus go to Synagogue if he wasn't a Jew?

What is a soul? I know what a sole is.

"the" Bible? No such thing. Many Bibles, all different.

Please consider these tidbits:

Jews for Jesus = Vegetarians for Hamburgers

God? He or She?

Church? Christianity? Jesus? Dying?

What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?

Does Imacculate Conception have anything to do with "VIRGIN BIRTH"?

Google Imacculate Conception and learn that is NOT.

What else do you falsely believe?

Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Can Gods die?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?

No Eternal sacrifice, big deal for a day!

If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.

If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

Life after death is like virginity after childbirth.

If the flesh of Jesus died, what was seen walking and talking on Sunday?

If you believe this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to believe it too to validate you.

Christians want everyone to convert to their non-thinking in order to be 'saved'.

Believing and not thinking is like choosing to be lost.

P.S.

No. We are not ignorant because we're Christians, but we had to realize our ignorance before we became one.

If you have stated that your a christian mystic, I would believe you were not ignorant. I'm not saying that the christian mystics are true, but more true than those not into the mystic teachings that Jesus preached about

I totally agree with you. There are a lot of pretty intelligent Christians. It's unfortunate that some people are so narrow minded that they cannot consider that a lot of Christians are pretty smart people.
