Be specific. Letting your dog out, brewing coffee, cooking breakfast, grooming, makeup, warming the car up etc.. How long does it take you from waking up to leaving out? Most descriptive gets 10pts.

Why do so few people understand that 'right' and 'wrong' are completely subjective concepts, and that nothing is inherently either. A simple example would be the eating of dogs. In most countries, eating dogs is considered 'wrong', but in others, it is considered 'right'.

Therefore, the act of eating dogs itself is both right and wrong. If more people recognised that this is true of opinions in general, including religious convictions, the world would be a far safer place.

What do you think?

I ask this because I see an increasing trend of Hollywood movies that tell the same story over and over again. The best sellers are always the ones that show a hero sacrificing himself in a variety of fasions for others.

In seems to me that there's a problem with contributing this trend with social Darwinism. Self sacrifice flys in the face of social Darwinism. How could this be an evolutionary trait if it doesn't work to protect the organism that obeys it? What mechanism could cause it? Could selfless sacrifice be what truely seperates men from animals? Did God plant this conscience in us?

I'll give you a logic experiment that I think illustrates the point.

You're walking through a park when suddenly you hear a stranger's urgent cry for help. You have two options. You could run away and ignore the person, or you can run toward them and help them. What is the morally right thing to do? Darwinism would suggest our impulse should be to run, but why does that give us pause?
