I love cabbage salad. It is something I have had since I was a young child. Now that my mom has passed it reminds me of all the Thanksgiving dinners that we shared together.

Dried corn, reconstituted overnight in water, cooked the next day in lightly salted water for four hours. About 1 hour before it's to be served, add a bunch of heavy cream (to taste) and simmer for the remaining hour. Tastes even better after it's been in the 'fridge for another day.
