“(Regarding Heaven) Then we have made them VIRGINS,” http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/05

“(In paradise) Eat and drink pleasantly for what you did…Reclining on thrones set in lines, and We will unite them to large-eyed beautiful ones.” http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/052.qmt.html6.qmt.html#056.036

The Quran promises virgins but doesnt say how many. The number 72 is a sacred number and thus is assumed to be the amount a good Jihadist will get.

Heres the issue, once a woman is pumped in Islamic heaven, she is no longer a virgin...so what use is she now? The Quran speaks of heaven in terms of male delights, and there doesnt appear to be any room for woman who like sex.

Maybe Islamic heaven is one big ho-holocaust, where Muslim men screw the virgin and then shes thrown into the oven...maybe sent to hell as a matter of efficiency.

Muslims, are there any non-virgin woman in heaven? Are the once virgin woman recycled or terminated?

It seems to me that it's only made people dumber, and it's a bit creepy. I mean, you're forced to hand your children over to complete strangers to be indoctrinated by the state to the point that people can't imagine a world without school. The weird thing about school is also that you don't learn anything that you really use outside of school, so why are people locked away for twelve years to learn stuff they'll never use? They go so slowly, it's scary.

To me it's obvious that school is a very bad thing. The Last of the Mohicans was a book people read for fun in the 1820s, before compulsory schooling came to America. Now it's college-level. Wtf? People can't have evolved to be dumber in 180 years.

The main reason I think school is a stupid idea: teenagers have more energy and devotion than they ever will again. Think of the effort kids can put in to video games or skateboarding. Imagine what would happen if they could go in to the real world.

I'm just looking for opinions.

He was baptized in Damascus and in the year, A.D. 41made his way back to Jerusalam. During the year 43, or early 44, he began his marvelous ministry in the bustling little Syrian city.
He would plant the seeds of faith in many important centers in the eastern provinces of the Roman Empire.
Does anyone know who this chosen man was?

The Christian right is constantly complaining about how the "liberal" media is slandering them. (If you hear this from the most radical edge of the Christian right, the phrase becomes "the liberal Jewish media.") If this is true, then why is it that the fact that the gun-toting psychopaths in the United States who are constantly featured on the news (like the "Freemen") are almost never referred to as Christians?
If a group of Muslims commits an act of terrorism, the first word in the media description of the group is "Muslim"? Could it be "we" don't like Muslims because they aren't like "us." I think so.
Tonight on the news, it was revealed me that Timothy McVay, the guy who is accused of the Oklahoma City bombing, is a Christian. Not only that, but a radical Christian. This makes perfect sense to us. Who else but a man motivated by his deep religious convictions could pull of an act of such unearthly evil?

He has connections to a Christian compound called "Elohim." How do I know it is a Christian compound (compound meaning a place where armed loonies try to avoid adhering to federal law)? Not because the media told me. The only way I know this is because "Elohim" is a name for God which is often used by these nuts. It has actually been mistranslated to mean "God" when it actually means "dieties" (plural), but that's beside the point.

McVay called these loonies two weeks before the bombing. McVay's attorney is trying to prove that these nuts are somehow involved in the bombing. This is of little concern for me, because either way it was an action by Christians who feel that a Godless government has no right to govern them.

The so-called "Freemen" also feel this way. They don't go to the department of motor vehicles to renew their licenses. Nope. They go to church. That's right, a protestant minister gives them their driver's licenses.

Sure, the media calls them racists; it calls them right-wing; it calls them extremists. But it never calls them Christians. The media is protecting Christianity. It's that simple. Right after the McVay story (on NBC's Dateline), they gave a quick summary about some act of terrorism by Muslim radicals. Why "Muslim" radicals and not "Christian" radicals? Makes you want to barf on Stone Phillips' shoes, doesn't it.

Genesis 6:3-5 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)

3 Then the LORD said, "My Spirit will not contend with [a] man forever, for he is mortal [b] ; his days will be a hundred and twenty years."

4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

5 The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.

**************************
Think about the Nephilim and their power. Could the legends of the mythological characters of Zeus, etc have been based upon the Nephilim?

Why do people make self-defeating statements such as "There is no truth!" and "There are no absolutes!" and also "Everything is relative!" when those statements themselves claim truth and absolute? It just doesn't make sense. How can people contradict themselves like this?

Needless to say, I don't smoke. I never did and smoke really annoys me. I hate to be exposed to so much smoke when I don't smoke. But I have a part-time job now and in a month I'll start working there full-time. As there are many teachers (this is a teaching job) in the institution, the rooms are very crowded. The manager put me in a room with two other teachers who excessively smoke. They've been working there for a long time and I don't see myself in a position to tell them not to smoke in the room. But the smoke really bugs me. How can I get out of this situation? I can't ask for a room change at this moment as I don't know what awaits me in other rooms, and moreover apart from smoking I like my roommates.

1. Assume the fossil record is correct, and thus biological change has occurred, just as the data shows it does.

2. Assume that micro evolution (genetics, breeding, mutations, etc.) is a proven and demonstated science.

3. This question is focused on macro evolution (unique new biological functions and species). Do we truly know how it happened? Can it be observed or demostrated?

If it still is a hypothesis, then isn't belief in this hypothesis based on faith?

“The Prophet said, "After me I have not left any AFFLICTION MORE HARMFUL TO MEN THAN WOMEN."”http://www.islamicity.com/mosque/sunnah/bukhari/062.sbt.html#007.062.033

If I were to create a religion, with these type of doctrines, I should expect mind-numbing oppression and subjigation of woman. Stuff like:

* The right to murder a woman that an insecure man thinks might be "dishonorable".

* Rape as a punishment by the state, for the acts of the man, upon an innocent female family member.

* Stoning woman for sport.

* Woman reduced to chattel (property), covered like furniture and purchased under profitable arrangements (arranged marriage).

The "don't ask, don't tell" policy isn't really fair. Straight military men and women have their spouses, or lovers, meet and greet them when coming in from port, but if a gay man/woman had their lover greet them anywhere on base, they'd be terminated from the service. How is that fair?
