Let's say you may have been one of the apostles (okay even women!) and you had followed the man around for 3 1/2 years, could you have done it?

my 7 yr. old has been questioning religion lately and i want him to understand and learn about faith the problem is i live a gay lifestyle and i dont want him to be taught to believe his mother and his step mother are going to hell. is their a religion or church that doesnt discriminate? my fiance and i took him to a neighborhood apostolic church and the female pastor bluntly said "you will be going to hell!" right in front of my son of course we left after that and my son was dissapointed and sad that we left before it started. i really want to give him the option of choice but it's hard.

In a few weeks, I will start a ''series of talks'' that follow the four main periods in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. By Easter I will have concluded the session ''Period of Enlightment''. What I want to know is: Is this when I will be confirmed into the church? And will this happen together with the other people who are taking these classes to become Catholic?

"FIGHTING IS PRESCRIBED FOR YOU (muslims), and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not." http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/002.qmt.html#002.216

This is a serious question. I have studied Islam in great depth, but dont pretend to know all religions as well.

To the best of my research, Islam appears to be the only religion, which has PRESENT TENSE COMMANDS and PRESCRIPTIONS (DUTIES) to fight and murder. Others to consider:

“FIGHT (Jihad) THOSE WHO BELIEVE NOT IN ALLAH” http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/009.qmt.html

“And FIGHT with them UNTIL...RELIGION SHOULD BE ONLY FOR ALLAH"http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/008.qmt.htmlhttp://cwis.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/008.qmt.html

If you dont know what I mean by "present tense" or havent studied other religions in depth, please dont answer. I invite experts of any political view to paste similar edicts.

You can find it in Genesis 6 where angels 'sons of GOD' desired the women of earth and when they got together created 'men of reknown'... in other words 'nephilim' half-human half angel

I've experience competitive people out there. I always seen those who don't care much and are content to live simple lives. I've seen man beat 100 metres under 10 secs.

Is it possible to be under 9 or even 8? What is the absolute limit? Why do we test ourselves so much?

I see Muslims using all kinds of slippery techniques to spread their anti-semitic viewpoints. They're always blaming Jews for this and that, and trying to buddy up to Christians with anti-Jewish propoganda.

Genesis 16:12 "He will be like a wild donkey among men. His hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him. He will live opposite all of his brothers."

That passage is about Ismael, and the Arabs claim lineage to Abraham through this wild oppositional donkey. Is this a perfect example of how "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree"?

Why is it that whenever I read a poll or study, over 95% of people believe in some kind of god, but when I am exposed to large groups of people discussing religion, like here on YAHOO!ANSWERS, sometimes as much as half of them have doubts about gods existence? Could the people doing these polls and studies be biased in favor of god?
