Say goodbye to the boyfriend. You father will always be your father, but if you hurt him by rejecting him over some dumba s that thinks he has the right to ask that of you, your relationship with your dad may be changed forever. If you think the boy is so great find a way to work it out, if you can't suck it up and find a new guy.

Not even close to enough information here.
As a rule, anyone who tells you to choose between two loved ones is controlling a situation because they are fearful of being the loser.
This only works with mature adults and not with underaged teens who have no experience to fall back on. If you and your boyfriend are still minors, then obey your parents, not your boyfriend.
To get any more specific, there would have to be more information about the problem.

That's silly for your bf to even suggest such a thing. You can't "chose" your family members. If you chose your bf over your dad, does that mean he's no longer your dad? Sounds like a manipulating person, to me, who can't deal with your dad so tries to put a wedge between the two of you.
