We practice on our own and do not belong to a coven. we can be of any path. many of the solitaires I know are eclectic solitaires, which means we do not follow 1 particular path, but bits and pieces from different paths what feels right to us

There are solitary witches in all paths of the craft. It's not a path all on it's own, just that those who take it generally walk it alone instead of working in a coven or circle.

A solitary Witch is one that practices alone. Occasionally they will attend open events and join others for certain events, but the core of their work is done solitaire. Mostly this is done by choice, sometimes it is by circumstance.
