I've experience competitive people out there. I always seen those who don't care much and are content to live simple lives. I've seen man beat 100 metres under 10 secs.

Is it possible to be under 9 or even 8? What is the absolute limit? Why do we test ourselves so much?

There will always be those amongst us who will seek to go where no one has gone before or push themselves to the limit to be the fastest, the best, funniest. There will also be those amongst us who are quite happy being just who they are. Human nature decides on our ability to go the extra mile or just sit and watch.
