Apostolic succession. Through the laying on of hands, the authority of Christ, bestowed upon Peter has been carried out until today's time. This is the Church Christ (God) established and the means of sucession instituted.

God bless,

It is not. All Christians should preach, evangelize, visit each other, care for the sick etc. But ordination is usually a matter of church government, vocation, and pay. If a preachers seeks pay from an institution or congregation, he will have to meet some requirements of the hiring group or their would be no order at all, such as which preacher should the church go to any given Sunday. Agreements are made, requirements are set. This is the necessary business of the church. You can't get around it if you want to have people with special job descriptions, like preacher, elder, deacon, or Sunday school teacher, or even church janitor.

Many denominations and non-denominational churches have unordained pastors. Maybe, even most. One standard in the United Methodist Church, for example is that a pastor should be ordained after completing college and a Master's of Divinity degree. Even so, there are many UMC churches who cannot afford to pay for such qualifications and they are served by unordained pastors. It's no biggie for the most part. I've seen many unordained pastors who I felt were far more moved by the Spirit of God and more biblically literate than some ordained pastors.

All Christians are to obey the great commission. We are all members of a royal priesthood with Christ as our only intermediary or high priest going before us after the order of Melchizedec.

To keep those guys under the thumb of religious dogma. Religion is all about control. If someone has a divine revelation or spiritual insight that can be very threatening to an established religious hierarchy. Jesus could tell you that about the Pharisees.

It is not needed by biblical standards. However, mens standards and making rules from rules is something we love to do, so by mens standards and laws within churches, it must be done.

God states to obey the rules of your country, and this also includes if our government states to be a recognized church that your pastor must be ordained.

Charles Haddon Spurgeon said of ordination that it was empty hands on empty heads. The real value is in the authentication it gives to an individual about his calling in a particular denomination or group. Provides some sense of affirmation which we all need

it quite is a good question.. i'm no longer truly particular of the answer. In a fashion, i visit type of see your profs way of wondering because in case you imagine about it... like women individuals in the different united states might want to struggle through through rape, they could undergo little ones that those soldier adult males aren't any further going to attend to, they could face degradation, yet as well on the turn area, the ladies individuals in the states that are married or courting those male squaddies are right here searching after the little ones through themselves, suffering loneliness without their mate right here, then there are a bunch of unmarried newborn bearing elderly women individuals without acquaintances because such fairly some unmarried newborn bearing age adult males are in the conflict or have already been killed as a outcome of the conflict. Then even as the squaddies come again fairly some them are injured, have submit anxious syndrome and different topics and the ladies regularly finally end up searching after them weither that's the mummy, sister, spouse or female pal it quite is a sort of suffering and a burden for some. yet, the squaddies them selves are those who're putting their lives on the line, they're dealing with the risk, they're coping with the bombs, the guns, noxious gases, the nice and cozy temperature they have the most pressure so that they are suffering as well. they're those who struggle through with an amputated limb, coming again to the states no longer having the ability to do the failings they used to, or maybe coming again homestead to issues that are a lot diverse than even as they left. some might want to comeback and not in any respect be in a position to do a similar paintings they used to, it quite is stressful. i imagine all in touch struggle through, in diverse procedures, yet to assert women individuals struggle through more suitable than adult males.. i truly won't be able to accept as true with that.
