In this day and age, BOTH are important. If I have to choose,I'd say: looks because good looks can get you money(jobs, rich friends,or girl/boyfriends) I've put this to the test.

more important for what? just in general. id rather have money than look good. Looks fade, invest money well, it will last a long time!
if your talking for a mate. id say neither. but if i have to chose. id say looks. money does not turn me on, but my hot husband does!

Neither, character and personality are very important. However, I guess it all depends on the individual human being and their own value system.
