Tell him/her there's nothing wrong with it. If they believe in God, then believe that God made them the way they are. I'm straight, and couldn't be gay no matter how hard I tried. Same goes the other way around, or bi. You can't control who you're sexually attracted to.
Just because Leviticus wasn't crazy about homosexuality doesn't make it sinful.
Anyone here who claims that homosexuality is a choice could then turn to a member of the same sex, and decide as a matter of choice, that they'd like to f$#% them.

any habit is hard to break and cannot be done on ones own. And sex (of any immoral kind) can be a habit that should be broken. Just a thought here but has your friend watched "The Passion of the Christ?" That was sooooo powerful. When you realize that the sins you commit are just as if you were standing there with the whips in your hands or the hammer in your hands and you are the one putting "stripes" on Jesus back with each sin that you do or you are the person responsible for putting the nails in Jesus' hands then you begin to see the magnitude of your sins and it will so repulse you that you will not want to do it anymore. Only by a close personal walk with Jesus by Bible study and prayer can we hope to walk righteously with our God.

Good gods...
Get his head out of the hole he has in the ground. If God made him, God made him the way he is; it's NOT a conscious choice. I would love to be gay if I could be, but you know what? It's hard to be gay when I am not subconsciously sexually attracted to men.

Try Spiritual Truth in stead of religious dogma.
The only real failure in life is not to be true to the best one knows.
Buddha
Be true to who you are. You are of God and to hate what you feel is to criticize Gods creation. If you can learn to be true to who you really are you will discover that it is also being true to God.

Being Saved as simple as Acts 2:38. Repent and be baptized, everyone of you. In the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
If he really wants help to quit his lustful thoughts, have him pray about it. God will do the rest.

In the bible it says that God is love, but it also says that gay marriage is wrong because man woman are mad for each other. It is not wrong to think that you might like the same sex, but it is wrong if you react to it in a wrong way

*sigh* I hate it when religion does this. This is why I hate religious prejudice against gays-- it produces self-loathing people like your friend.
I honetly don't know what to do. Nothing ever seems to help these people, because they can't change how they feel about the same sex, but they've been brainwashed into their religion.

I believe that this kind comes out not but by prayer and fasting. If your friend will get in obediance to God and for forgiveness and help from the Lord and FAST I believe the Lord will deliver him.

You friend has been given a cross to bear. His cross, while it may be different than yours or mine, can still be used to Glorify God.
He does have free will. He can choose not to act on his temptations, just as you or I can choose fidelity over infidelity. We all must pick up our cross day by day and hour by hour if we choose to follow Christ. Encourage your friend to pray for God's Grace to keep him from this sin and to make his abstinence from this temptation a sacrifice to be offered up. God's Grace will not be withheld from those who ask for it.
God Bless,
MoP

Well maybe he needs a shiny new religion? There are plenty of sects that accept gays and teach that god does as well. Your friend can stay in his church and be self-hating or try another one and accept himself. It's up to him.
