Ok a few years ago my wife and I were at a restaurant it was empty except for us and two other tables. I had a hard time deciding what to get between two things by the time the waitress came I made up my mind The waitress was horrible rude she never cleared our appetizer plates and never refilled our drinks. We had already decided not to leave a tip Well the wrong food came but I could not remember what I ordered because it was one of the two things I was choosing between. When the bill came I saw she charged me for the other thing which was less money we paid exact change no tip and left. While we were leaving the one other table was complaining about their food because they were missing an entrée the one I just ate

I gave it 23 yrs. I got tired of the emotional abuse and verbal abuse. Our kids are l8,20, and l2.. We broke up 2 times before but I always felt sorry for him, and went back. I went to counseling and he attended 3 times. Needless to say, it didn't work. We went to church off and on for about 13 years. Even joining the church didn't help. We haven't been intimate in 3 or 4 yrs. I have prayed and prayed. Stay married for the kids sake ? I am afraid of making God mad at me. I am a teacher and he is a VP of a company. We have never seen eye to eye. We got married for the wrong reasons. (just to get married) He is not a Christian. We were unequally yoked and I tried to help him spiritually. Sometimes he was open and sometimes not. He has a bad temper, is moody, and a workaholic. He is bad at namecalling and being obsessive compulsive. He thinks everyone is an idiot. I came from an alcoholic father in the home....I just want to be at peace for a change. What do I do?

Yes i am a christian, just asking. Sometimes I wonder- it is a known fact years ago people used canibus (marijuana) and other
hallucinigenic drugs. Is it possible that some of the miracles that were written were imagined?

Was there tension between people, and debates about it? Were there staunch fundamentalist Zeussians who threatened the wrath of his lightning bolts?

The Bible says the Earth is between 6,000 and 8,000 years old, that it was created in 7 days, and that Man is made of dirt and Woman a piece of Man. Most churches today say that this is allegory. What passages of the Bible support it all being just allegory?

It is in some countries. I think it should be illegal in all countries. I drive a lot and almost every time I see someone driving like an idiot, they are on their cell. It happens so much that it isn't funny. There may be some emergency situations where it would be very helpful to talk on the phone, but the people who choose to do so should be prepared to pay fines. At least people could use other methods like headphones or a dashboard set-up. I definitely think that talking on a phone, holding it to one's head while driving, should be illegal and fined. Instead of focusing on the fact that they're driving a heavy chunk of metal that can easily kill people, they're focused on a conversation.

I am a "new thought" type of person and I was wondering if anyone had advise on becoming ordained. Because I am accepting of all positive religious paths, and wish to build a "Unitarian Universalist" kind of congregation, it makes becoming ordained a little difficult. I have to find a church or organization who will not require me to adhere to legalistic scriptures for guidance and who will be glad to have me form a church will all different kinds of religions.

I will not be going through UU for ordination, and need to look elsewhere.

I do not want to obtain credentials through Universal Life Church, but if I cannot find anything suitable elsewhere, I may do just that since I believe we are called by God to do what we do, and the paper is meaingingless to begin with, just a necessary document to perform functions in our country.

Please do not reply unless you have specific advise on how to accomplish what I am seeking. Do not try to convert, criticize or disrespect.

Do you suppose that your forefathers were as dismissive of the Germ Theory of Disease as being "just a theory", when it was so OBVIOUS to them that demonic possession and curses were the cause of all disease?

Do you think they asserted that it took as much faith to believe that the earth was round as it did to simply accept the holy scripture that "proved" it was flat?

Do you suppose they claimed that the proposed heliocentric solar system was "just as much of a religion" as the commonly accepted belief that the Earth was the center of the universe?

In any one of a MILLION instances where the evidence of scientific inquiry clashed with established religious dogma, do you suppose what people BELIEVED made one whit of difference as to what the factual REALITY of the universe was?

dont you agree with me on this? people keep saying "read the word of god" but god never wrote anything, he inspired people to write books for him, so shouldnt you just say "read the holy books" rather then the word of god. I mean he didnt tell the what to write they just wrote the things that happend, it was inspired by god but not written by him.
