I am a "new thought" type of person and I was wondering if anyone had advise on becoming ordained. Because I am accepting of all positive religious paths, and wish to build a "Unitarian Universalist" kind of congregation, it makes becoming ordained a little difficult. I have to find a church or organization who will not require me to adhere to legalistic scriptures for guidance and who will be glad to have me form a church will all different kinds of religions.

I will not be going through UU for ordination, and need to look elsewhere.

I do not want to obtain credentials through Universal Life Church, but if I cannot find anything suitable elsewhere, I may do just that since I believe we are called by God to do what we do, and the paper is meaingingless to begin with, just a necessary document to perform functions in our country.

Please do not reply unless you have specific advise on how to accomplish what I am seeking. Do not try to convert, criticize or disrespect.

From a strictly theological perspective: i would begin by contacting theological programs in your area and start inquiring based on your needs. You didn't identify where you were located (or even the state--as ordination may not be consistent everywhere) so any other help one can offer is minimal and you probably shouldn't do something like this over the internet.

Hmmm,

Catholics are true Christians, we are the first Christians.

I would suggest a LOT more study, leading people down the wrong path can hurt ones soul.

Peace, and Good Luck.

A TRUE GOD CALLED MINISTER is called by praying & seeking God, No man has to ordain them, God is the one that ordains, & it has to be according to EPH.4;11-15 & also, God does not call a woman to preach. And The TRUE MINISTRY will BE PREACHING & TEACHING EYE TO EYE, Isa. 52:8
