Is there any cave drawings that indicate this?

Yes, there are plenty of cave drawings that indicate earliest humankind worshipped a goddess of fertility (where we got "Mother Nature"), and a God of hunting. There are cave drawings that indicate that the cave dweelers used a form of sympathetic magic to ensure good hunting by drawing pictures of the animal being hunted with arrows already in it.

This is where nature-oriented paganism (worship of a Goddess and God) derived from.

"Religion" is a relative term. Most people I know, tell me that religion is "man's view of God", therefore however man understands God's Word and interprets it is correct. I beg to differ, but that's another story. If you want to know what man's first act of religion is, read the story of Adam and Eve again. Remember when they first realized they were naked? What did they do? They MADE CLOTHING for themselves from fig leaves which was THEIR method of attempting to hide their sins from God and think they'd get away with it! When God came to see what they'd done, He killed a goat to make a more appropriate covering for them to show them that only BLOOD could wash away sin. The fig leaves weren't going to be good enough! Therefore, religion is MAN'S attempt to justify himself by HIS OWN MEANS instead of what "thus saith the Lord".

Religion started when God created Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and Adam built an alter to worship God. This happened on the "sixth day" (perhaps a period of time of unknow length) of Gods creation of the Universe.

Religion "started" when man's intellect developed enough to question why things are as they are. Man then created reasons beginning with mythology.

It depends on which religion you are talking about.

Judiasm started at the beginning of time. Jesus came for the Jews, they reject him, now we call those who follow Jesus Christians even though he is the fulfillment of the jewish prophecies.

Islam is one of the newest religions.
