Why not? It has been used in archeological digs. Even if it wasn't, why shouldn't people believe it? Go back to the Middle Ages, why did people not believe it then? Why not believe it now. I believe it because that is what I was taught, I have also read other books that confirm what the Bible says. Plus, there are some things (Psalms and Proverbs) that just make sense. Take the Parable of the Wise man and the Foolish Man. It just makes sense to build your house on a rock and not sand. Why not believe someone used it to teach others?

As a christian I do not think that the Holy Bible is the truth, I know it is the truth.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and life.

~~~~~~~~~
Example!
In the Messianic Seal, the cross appears as the Hebrew letter TAW.
The artifacts were discovered in 1990 by Tech Oteeoos, a 90 year old Greek Orthodox monk, in the vicinity of the, what is believed to be, the original Church founded and pastored by James the Just, the half-brother of Jesus. When the actual grotto was excavated by Oteeoos, numerous inscriptions were found on the walls. The period of its use on Mount Zion could only have been from the crucifixion in 30 AD to 135AD.
weiss_maus,
Here is the key to understanding. Please don't take it lightly.
>>>>>>>You have to have the Spirit of God working in you, in order to understand the truth that's in the Bible.<<<<<<<<
It's because of His Spirit, that we understand His word.
