Please keep in mind that your desire to seek in the first place is because God is calling you. Other wise you would have no desire to seek God.

I would encourage you to start by deciding who Jesus is to you and what you are going to do with Him. Let me assure you that Jesus is God.

Here is a piece from my favorite Bible teacher. I believe that it may help to give you some insight into your search.

Seeking God has nothing to do with church, you are the church. First of all church is simply the place that you go to get grounded in the Word of God and learn the many ways to praise Him.(Bishop Dantely) You get yourself right by going to Him straight from the heart, you seek Him unceasingly. You never stop seeking Him. As long as you start from the heart and are sincere, all other things will be added onto you. If you think that going to church every Sunday is all you have to do then guess what, you'll right back where you started all over again.

Not necessarily you need to go to a Church or Temple for this.

To the extent possible, wherever you are, whatever time it is, thing of Him. Keep reading/chanting whatever holywords from your preffered Gospel. Even while involved in any work, think of Him, and dedictae all your work to Him. Seek no fruits of your work. That does not mean that you must not enjoy the fruits when they come seeking you!

This is more than allotting a particular time to think of the Lord. Concept of timing is for humans only. He does not follow any timing.

By no means I am advising you not to go a place of worship. But that is not all. Just going there for 60 minutes a week or so, and spending rest of your time as you please can never produce the results you seek.

Read, Research, Listen, Obey.

Don't ever get caught in the self-righteous trap. Try not to get caught up in your own opinions. Try find people who teach the Bible without much spin, someone like John MacArthur or Alistair Begg. Find a church that is also seeking God with their minds, hearts and souls. Listen more than you talk.

First step is to recognize that you are a sinner. With that truth planted in your heart, go to God in prayer and confess to Him... pour out the troubles of your heart with sincerity and ask for forgiveness. Have faith that if you do these things in the name of Jesus Christ, your sins will be forgiven and the weight of guilt can then be lifted from your shoulders. You will be born again, freed fromthe burden and ready to seek out God in all things. Read His word the Bible, look for a church, listen to praise and worship music, begin to move away from the things of this world that are so destructive and depend on God quiet voice to whisper encourgaement and to show you the way. Once you have committed to Him, he will, always be with you. Sometimes you may stray back into the ways of this world, it is so powerful... but God will draw you back... and you will grow in spirirt and truth.

Developing a degree of self delusion is the first step and your use of mawkish language like "all my heart and soul" suggests to me that you have that in abundance. The rest should just be a pretty straightforward progression into religious insanity.

there is no fool-proof method of seeking God, but you must first come to Him exposed and ready to accept the changes that He will take you through. It will be painful because, if you let Him, He will show you your TRUE self and how to become the whole woman He intends for you to be (went there this summer). you MUST also stay in the word and ask Him to reveal Himself and will to you and He will honor your request...
