Why is heaven filled with streets of gold, vines of grapes for wine, walls and gates,etc. when it is a spiritualistic place? Does wine nourish a spiritual body? Can a spiritualistic body be corraled between walls and gates?
Why is heaven so valuable and such a high regarded place, if it contains only those things used by people on earth.

Please help me understand this religious contradiction!!!!

On the one hand you gripe because Christians are constantly telling you what THEY think based upon the bible.

Then if a Christian simply quotes the Word of God and let's God answer your question without any personal interpretation you complain because they only used bible quotes.

Which is it gonna be.

You just don't want to be told how to live your life by anybody. Whether it be a godly man or God himself. You want to live a selfish life seeking after personal pleasure and caring nothing about the damage you cause along the way, because after all when it's all over nothing will really matter. So you're gonna do what you want to do to get all the bang out of this life possible before you blink out into oblivion.

What makes you think that a god would be stupid enough to put a soul in a body that will not see life? Wouldn't that mean that the god in question is not all knowing? Can you accept that a god would allow people to abort children they do not want, and withhold a soul from that body so there would be no suffering?
Do you believe that even though a god knows the future, that god would be so cruel as to put an innocent soul in a position to be tortured and die just to make people feel bad because they chose to not bring a child into this world?

Too much spying on US. Citizens & invasions of privacy going on.

1. Tracking chips are put in our clothing
2. Cameras in schools, gas stations, stores, fitting rooms, bathrooms, stop lights,etc
3. Strip searches & x rated x-ray machines in airports
4. Homeland security listens to our phone calls
5. Strip searches in High Schools
6. cameras in fast food places
7. The Government monitors our spending habits.

I mean as Americans we tend to own far more things that we do not need. We often strive to be better, have more, and be more successful. I feel we clutter our lives up with so many worldly things that we forget many of the important joys in life.

I see these every once in a while (someone keeps putting them in the bathrooms where I work) and I must say, all the seem to do is paint Christianity in a rediculous light. OK ive always wanted to know this and every answer i get is all the same (he has always been) and i except it but i still look for another explanation.I beleive in god and that jesus died for our sins and i except the answer above but a deep feeling inside me tells me that there is more to that than what people have told me.

In his weekly sermon from his church in Lynchburg VA, Rev. Jerry Falwell addressed many topics, including the role of the church, intolerance, and discrimination. In the sermon aired on Sunday, March 5, 2006, Falwell included evolution and same-sex marriage among the “many challenges” facing American culture today. In the same sermon, Falwell said he wants his “people to be the most intolerant people in the world” because he wants all people to acknowledge the superiority of Christianity even if “to teach that one system of truth is superior to another is politically incorrect and it’s intolerant.”

To be frank, I just cannot be bothered with people, I find them uninteresting and boring.

All I want to do is play computer games, and when I'm with people I would rather not be there. So much effort to talk that just doesn't seem worth it.

I have friends but I'm gradually phasing them out because I feel it's completely pointless spending time with them, it pretty much feels like I'm wasting time. They have to convince me to go out.. offering me incentives and stuff. I have to try and make excuses. I really would rather stay in, but I feel some kind of pressure to go out, wtf is this? Why should I have to do something I don't want to do? Why can't I be happy? When I'm at home I feel happy, relaxed, and I play computer games on my PC, surf the web, research business ideas, I have NEVER felt lonely when I'm on my own, so I don't have a need for social interaction. When I'm alone I feel in a positive and constructive state, I can get things done quickly, and I can think deeply, people
