People are interpreting the bible from today's way of life and viewpoint . Rather than that of the people that were living at the times that the bible covers.
For the most part after the GARDEN of EDEN story most people were semi nomadic or just starting to build primitive cities. and they were mostly farmers and herdsmen. to supply food for their tribes. So you need to look at the bible from that point of view first. And it gives a different meaning to most of the verses.Such as the one about not spilling your seed on infertile ground. you need to make sure it falls from your hands onto Earth that will nourish it so that you will have an abundant harvest and less people will go hungry during the winter.

Many people and/or churches try to twist the Bible for their own interpretations. You should always read the Bible yourself even if you are sitting in church. Make sure that what you are being told is in there....really is in there. The prophetic books can be difficult but much of it is not hard to understand.

Much of the Bible is simply ignored as inconvenient to modern life. People don't want to learn the Bible, they want to be told it by preachers. They don't want to give up their parties, and celebrations, which has been happening since the time of the Apostle Paul. They don't want to study the Bible with their children, instead sending them off to learn stories in a Sunday School. Much of the Bible contradicts the life styles chosen by Christians for almost 2000 years. And that doesn't even include those scriptures that often get interpreted in different ways.

The Bible says that interpretations belong to God. That means that a person must really search the scriptures in their entirety in order to discern what God means. No Church has a monopoly on this but some Churches just keep on teaching doctrines and don't teach the Bible itself.

Becuase it's been interpretated by so many people with different views and ideals, alot of it has been corrupted. Just cause the priest or pastor "explains" something from the Bible, it doesnt make it true, you have to read it yourself and what you get out of it is what was specifically for you and your life. Your own interpretation. It's not "supposed" to be interpreted by others, but that's how it's done cause majority of people are too slow to figure it out on thier own or with God's help. No offense to anyone reading this.

To each his own. How one interprets it is how they should believe. Everybody has the right to their own opinions, because we are all individuals we all see things in different ways and our own point of views. No church should force one interpretation, if they did it would become a cult. No church or followers of these church's like to hear the word cult, but unfortunately that is what a cult is.

Fact is, that's where the churches all separate into denominations. I'm a nondenominational Christian, personally, because I believe that the church is the body of Christ, and it shouldn't be separated, but it is because everyone is different with a different interpretation. Some interpret it to fit their lifestyles or personal beliefs. "Different strokes for different folks" if you will. Truth is truth no matter how you look at it. No one can change it no matter how they break it down.

What ever the Holy Spirit shows you. I can read a passage, and a week later get something different out of it. The are people who do interpreted the way they think it should be. I have heard different Pastors preach from the same verse and come up with something totally different. It does depend if they are allowing God to direct them or not. That is why you need to read your Bible. If you find you don't agree with someones preaching, ask them, and ask others.

interpretations of each individual church.
All religions exist on principles in the bible twisted to fit their needs. If this was not capable of happening, then each religion would crumble based on not being able to show or prove their most basic fundamental principle for existence.
That is the reason so many religions exist. The bible is up for any translation.

2 Timothy 2:15-Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

You have to learn to rightly or correctly dicern and divide, what is meant literal and what is meant metaphorically;what is meant in Gods time(1000 of our years is equivalent to 1 of God's years) and what is meant in our time. You have to learn to understand what exactly is meant in the Bible when you read the words.
For example:I think Genesis:In the begining that time frame that God gives (7 days) is probably meant in His time;becuase the earth and everything was not made yet so He had no reason to go by the human day. In which case the Earth and everything was made in 6000 years (the last day or 1000 years, God rested)not a million or a billion or whatever these educated looney bens are trying to say.
