No no no no no no no, oh, and by the way, no. I have deep faith in the existence of God, and surprise surprise, the theory of evolution simply enhances my faith. To me, the idea that an idea as perfect and mysterious as evolution only validates that there has to be a higher power, and even with evolution, there will *always* be questions that science cannot answer. (There will always be "so what came before that?" sort of questions).

Science and religion satisfy both of my needs, for the "how", and the "why". Few realize how easy it is to reconcile the two, and have one support the other.

Absolutely not. If evolution is true it simply explains something in the natural world, a pattern. It never bothers to explain how that pattern came into existence (in fact science cannot answer such questions since science is only given the mission to search for answers through observation, tests, and use of the scientific method within nature...the universe, earth, etc). God is spiritual, is not testable or observable and the scientific method cannot be applied. Thus, science does not even delve into the spiritual realm of things. Thus science may say that evolution occurs, it cannot say what began it. Just as science cannot tell you what the universe was like before the universe itself began, so too cannot it not tell you what was before evolution. Without a universe to observe it cannot then say anything about what was before it.

Thus if you believe in God then the answer is very easily "God began it" or that somehow it came out of being through God, etc. In those cases this is where religion and spirituality is necessary. The two are both vital. Religion and spiritual help us explore and understand the spiritual dimensions while science helps us explore the physical dimensions.

Anyone can believe in evolution and still believe in God. I know many scientists that are my friends (from various different scientific fields) that adhere to science in their work and research but are also deeply religious and spiritual and strongly practice their religions and spiritual traditions.

Well if man in his finite wisdom is able to know how and why the world existed --Wow! i guess that would put him in a place of divinity. Evolution still remains to be theory. No man till this day can fathom the existence of such a vast universe. I am extremely confident in saying God does exist. What purpose would our existence serve if all we do is live for a short while and die. Atheism along with Evolution would suggest we have no soul or spirit we are just empty beings. Atheism can't even attempt to try to explain the existence of mankind. Evolution tries but fails. The point of many evolutionist is that God does not exist but rather some random bang produced us all. Are you kidding!! I've never seen an explosion create anything but a mess. The evolution theory would suggest that man is the highest form of intelligence. If this is the case we are in BIG TROUBLE!!!!!!!

I don't believe in the God described in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). That's because I think the God described in it sounds a lot more like what men living 3000 years ago would think a God would be like, rather than what I would think a God must be like if there was one.

I personally think that a God powerful enough to create the Universe would PREFER to use Evolution has the means of creating intelligent life. That way God would be treated to a much greater range of diversity in intelligent life and behavior. Such a God would have the power to fine tune all of the physical constants to maximize the amount of diversity and potential for evolved intelligence.

Now this is a theory that holds together far better than any theory based in the Bible. If theists were proposing theories like this, I'd have a lot more respect for them.

I would think you would have to define if you were asking whether or not natural selection was true. Sure God could create a universe in which each creature would give birth to another and genetic differntiation could take place over time, that would be evolution and would fit in an ordered universe. But evolution in the sense of natural selection in that these mutations were completly random and not the intended result of God the creater would then be incompatible.

Evolution denotes the evolvement of pre-existing organisms, NOT the complicated existence of "mankind". Mankind is NOT evolutionary, but inventive.

Thus organisms can evolve. Invention is mastered via creation of all things. Thus does it not stand to reason that all organisms are created? A paradox of sorts!

GOD created all creatures great and small?

If evolution were to exist? Then would it not encompass some entity to create all things? "Life" would have to begin at some point!

Thus we have GOD! An entity, a force, a creator of all things that lives, pro-creates, thrives and multiples within it's ownself.

All science is discovery, nothing that exists now was created by humans. You have to isolate the first two sentences in Genesis. The word _was____ translates to __became__. No one knows the beginning..The world was bo-hew (indistinguishable rain,)andTo-huw (empty, waste, wilderness's,worthless)
In verse 3 God says he begins to change that picture.
You don't build a house and start with the roof. You start with nothing but a plan. First you dig a hole and set the foundation.

The scientists started with a theory and then tried to deconstruct the house to see what made it tick If we came from Apes then why are there still Apes. Our nearest DNA match are chimps. Amy one in your family tree look like a chimp? Science has tried to make the pieces fit but its all conjecture.
Why would a big wet blob spit out humans anyway.

No, it does not.
Jesus always spoke in metaphors (parables) for us to better understand what He's saying. So why should God not speak metaphorically also? The Bible says the universe was created in seven days. Most would take that literally when seven days to Him could be thousands of years to us? That maybe His description of time paralleled our perception of time by a million years. The fundamental Christians believe that nothing is impossible for God. They are quite right. However many people have trouble tying in faith with scientific evidence. God would not say one thing and leave contradictory evidence behind. I fully believe that evolution and creation are the exact same story just told by different authors.

God created all things, and there has been some evolving - under his eye..
The difference is Macro (all things) Evolution or Micro ( smaller level) Evolution. I do not think anyone can deny there has been micro-evolution.
But the even greater issue is the belief system behind the front of Evolution that denies and does not include God.
Many use it a base for excluding a Creator or Greater Being because it "fits" that philosophy, but it is inherently flawed.

I think religion and logic cannot go hand in hand. It has to be blind faith or else there are many many questions left un-answered. I personally believe more in evolution bcoz its more logical. But then who created the universe. The whole thing. It may be big bang but something was there befor that too. Who made that?? Who designed the human body?? Which is intricate peace of work. If adam and eve were there then were they black, brown, white?? how come everyone is of a different color. I hv never seen ****** hving whites and vice-versa?? People dont change color just by living in a particular country. Only 2 people made the
entire population on earth. They slept with their children too. ....... Many of these things are probably better left un-answered. Cause right now science does not hv one, and Gods not coming to earth
in the near future (who knows).
