Well,,,,,,do you also know that The bible has more than 300 differnt version, and all of their individual followers claim that thier's is the right one. I saw an asnwer above which said that there are also many versions of the Quran.

Thats not true, Quran has only one version. The authentic one. The different translations are only different in style of language used. Some use modern english, other use Bible style. But in No Quran on the whole planet will differ in the when matched with the Arabic text, the language in which it was revealed. Hence It is probhibeted to publish a translation without the orignal Arabic text.

Also, Muslims have one BOOK, The Quran. The Hadiths are the sayings of the Prophet(pbuh). The is the final athority.

Muslims only use one holy book, the clear and understanding book Quran. The hadith is an action book it tells us in action what prophet Muhammad did so that we won't get confused and come up with are own way of worship like some other religions have done. The Quran tells us to submit the hadith shows us how. Islam is perfected, their is a verse in the quran where Allaah says you will not find one mistake. Bible was perfected until man came and put their two cents in it, So Allaah sent us the Quran as mercy from him, and this time he sent the hadith so we won't get it twisted again, Our only reason for being alive is to worship Allaah (God) not to come up with are on ideas and ways to do so Allaah has already shown us in the hadith. I have heard of Prophet Muhammad being the walking Quran, because if he didn't speak against things that people did that meant it was ok, but if he did that was from Allaah Prophet Muhammud didn't have his own opinion and nether should we, The Quran and the Hadith is here to show us how to conduct ourselves.

The Bible is actually a collection of many different books. On top of that, different sects within Christianity use different versions of this Bible (King James, Deuteronomical Canon, etc.).
I'm not sure about this, but I think Mormons consider the Book of Mormon to be anther book within the Bible. I might be wrong though.
As for the Hadith, it is a collection of sayings and examples by the prophet and his companions. It's not really considered to be a Holy Book on te level of the Qur'an, but it is used as a source for Sharia law.

The "Bible" is actually a collection of dozens of books written by many different authors over the course of two-thousand years.

Martin Luther alone wrote over 40 versions of the New Testament in German, constantly revising it because his earlier versions were not accurate. In his first translation of the Old Testament he left out one of the commandments - on purpose just because he didn't agree with it!!

In history there have probably been thousands of different versions of the Bible.

The King James Version is probably one of the most biased and least true translations. It was a translation to English from the Latin version - ie: a translation of a translation. And, it was done by a group of scholars and priests, subject to the King's approval. That would be like asking a group of Catholics and Mormons to do an English translation of a German Bible, subject to the approval of George Bush!

I'm a Christian, but the Bible is not the infalliable book you have been led to believe. It is a collection of poems, law, history, stories, and wisdom - nothing more, nothing less. True spiritual understanding comes from a lifetime of reading, prayer, and guideance from the Holy Spirit.

If you have the truth, you only need one.
However, in your line of logic, we have the holy scriptures, the 10 commandments, and the bible, that we use. The bible is actually the translation of the holy scriptures, and there are many books of the bible.

The Old Testament and the New Testament are two different histories. And each book in the Bible is a BOOK.

Actually, i beg to differ...I'm Muslim and i refuse to use haddith as i believe it is a grave sin in the Qur'an God tells Muslims that the Qur'an is the final haddith and a muslim should not follow any other haddith after.....so more accurately Muslims use the Qur'an, the Final testament and look towards the Old and New testament.
Muslims actually should not follow haddith because....

1- The Quran commands all Muslims to follow the Quran Alone, this command is found in numerous verses, the following are examples:
"These are God's revelations that We recite to you truthfully. In which Hadith other than God and His revelations do they believe?" 45:6
"Shall I seek other than God as a source of law, when He has revealed to you this book fully detailed?" 6:114
2- The Quran confirms that the only Sunna is the Sunna of God. No where in the Quran is there any mention of Sunna't Muhammad!!!!
"You will find that the Sunna of Allah is the only Sunna" (33:62....35:43.....48:23)
3- The Quran confirms that the only duty of Muhammad (or of any messenger) is to deliver God's message, and not to teach any other teachings.
"The only duty of the messenger is to deliver God's message" 5:99 (also in 5:92.... 16:35.......16:82.....24:54.......29:18.....42:48.......64:12)
4- God commands the believers to obey the prophet, but God also makes sure that the obedience to the prophet is linked to obeying the message he delivered and nothing else. Obeying the prophet does not mean that he had a Sunna to be obeyed.
The confirmation that the obedience of the prophet is linked to obeying the message he delivered (the Quran) is confirmed in the following verse:
"Obey God and obey the messenger. If you shall turn away then the sole purpose of the messenger is to deliver the message (the Quran)" 64:12
Note how the obedience to the prophet and the deliverance of the Quran are linked in the same verse.
5- You will never read any where in the Quran words like "Obey God and obey Muhammad" or obey Jesus, or Moses..........always the word messenger........that is to emphasise that what is to be obeyed is the message of God and not the personal words of any messenger.
6- The Quran also confirms that Muhammad was commanded not to teach any other teachings, otherwise he would incur severe punishment from God:
"It (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the universe. Had he (Muhammad) uttered any other teachings, We would have grabbed him by the right, and We would have severed his Wateen (Major artery of the heart), none of you could have helped him." 69:43-47
7- Muhammad was made to swear that the only revelation he received from God was the Quran. The following verse confirms that all what is known as (Hadith Qodsy) are lies that the prophet is innocent of:
"Say (O Muhammad) what is of the greatest testimony? Say: God is the witness between me and you, and this Quran has been inspired to me, that I may warn you and whomever it reaches" 6:19
If the hadith Al-Qodsy was truly God speaking to Muhammad as they falsely claim would'nt the verse carry a testimony to that ???
Nowhere in the Quran is there any indication that Muhammad received from God anything other than the Quran.
8- Prophet Muhammad himself commanded his people not to write his hadith, this is documented in Muslim and other books:
"Do not write down anything of me except the Quran. Whoever writes other than that should delete it" (Ahmed, Vol. 1, page 171.....also Sahih Muslim)
9- For the first 150 years to 200 years after the death of the prophet the writing of his hadith was forbidden, in accordance with his commands. The first one to document a comprehensive collection of hadith was Al-Bukhari (Note that Al-Bukhari was born in the year 198 After Hijrah..........does that make you think????)
Even if we were to follow the hadith, how accurate can a collection of sayings documented two centuries after the death of the prophet be????? and this is what Muslims criticise of the Bible.
10- God commands the prophet in the Quran to say that he is infallible in the revelation he delivers, but that he may commit errors in his personal words and hadith:
"Say:If I err , I err because of my shortcomings, and if I am rightly guided it is due to the revelation I receive from my Lord" 34:50
In spite of that confirmation and also 6 incidents in the Quran when the prophet is reprimanded by God, for errors he committed, the worshippers of Muhammad claim that he was infallible!!!! These 6 incidents are found in (8:67-68......9:43.......9:113-114........ 33:37..........66:1.........80:1-11 )
11- The Quran confirms that for every prophet there will be enemies of the devils of humans and jinns who will fabricate fancy sayings and attribute them to the prophet to deceive the people:
"We have permitted the enemies of every prophet, human and jinn devils, to inspire in each other fancy sayings, in order to deceive" 6:112
God also asserts that only the disbelievers will listen to such fabrications (see 6:113)
12- Finally, we are told that the Quran is totally sufficient for the genuine believer for the following reasons:
A- The Quran is not in need of an annex since it is complete:
"The word of your Lord is complete in truth and justice" 6:115
B- The Quran is not in need of an explanatory supplement since it is clear and is not ambiguous:
"A.L.R. These are the signs of the clear book" 12:1
"We have made it (the Quran) easy to understand and in your own tongue (language) may you take heed." 44:58
C- The Quran is not in need of a correction manual since it is perfect and harbours no contradictions:
"A.L.R. This is a book whose verses have been perfected" 11:1
D- The Quran is not in need of a step by step guide since it is fully detailed:
"Shall I seek other than God as a source of law, when He has revealed to you this book fully detailed?" 6:114
For all these reasons, all Muslims should
follow the Quran, the whole Quran and
nothing but the Quran.
PRAISE GOD

...So not strange but good becuase i wish more Muslims would do this...although some Christians do follow a lot of other practices and rituals that aren't in the Bible
