I have yet to meet a Jew who takes the Genesis account of creation as historical fact. They will generally point to it being a metaphor for understanding God and creation but never a literal fact.

What is lost if one chooses to see the Genesis stories as divine truths but not facts?

I often find myself wanting many stuff like a hi-fi stereo system when I already have all the music I need in my mp3 player or the latest celphone model when I still have a working good phone with me. What causes this unnecessary wanting? How do I (we) free ourselves from this?

My family and I having been searching for a home for sometime now. We found a home that is perfect for us at a great price. We are in the procees of getting all of our financial paperwork together so that we can go ahead and make an offer. My Agent told me that some is also trying to make an offer. So I would just like to request the prayer of my brothers and sisters of Yahoo. I have confessed and believed in my hear that this house is mine, I know that I will receive the Lords favor as scriptures states. Please give me a little back up and edge him on to go ahead and make this house ours. ( LOL) I have faith in the Lord and I know there is power in the tounge, I speak the things I want. I want this house!! I claim it.!! Please offer any good scriptures I should read, and please pray for my family and I. One last thing please pray the we find a great Church really close, one that preaches Salvation. Thank You and God Bless!!

I believe a higher power created us either on purpose or by accident and has lost interest or doesn't realize we are here, and yet I still pray but not necessarily to it. When we die we most likely just disappear. We control our life and the commandments were wrote to keep us in check as was the idea of hell.

EG, UK or USA, or would this simply be defined as a full-scale invasion? Would it actually be possible to overthrown a government in the countries aforementioned by using force (or the threat of force), from within said country's own borders?

It seems to work to a limited extent in poorer, smaller or less poluated nations...so why not in these larger, more powerful nations?

This is an honest question, not a joke, and I'm looking for serious answers.
