Or when do you think it will happen?

"Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD;

"And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it." Amos 8:11, 12.

My only plans are to cook and eat. I don't travel during that time, to much aggravation. It would be nice to visit my family, but I would prefer to stay home and devour the leftovers and watch movies. Especially on Thanksgiving 4 days of eating. LOL. Christmas, I really wouldn't travel anywhere, having to carry presents and all that other stuff. I would prefer to wake in my own house, watch the kids open presents and cook breakfast and a good dinner.

Why doe'sant someone do a programme comparing the difference in attitude and care of our elderly with the rest of Europe. Would we come out good, or would we be ashamed of the result. I don't think we would fare well at all.

Don't they think that it is slutty and of no class. If a white girl has a amelo toe..somebody will tell her right away because she probably didn't do it on purpose. but seriously how can anyone think that is a acceptable way to dress?

"Ad hominem" attacks (tactics that focus on the person instead of the idea) are distracting, unkind, and usually suggest the attacker has a weak or poorly thought-out argument. In this forum, calling Christians "idiots" only provokes useless verbal fights that don't win any ground and leave everyone feeling more cut off from one another than before.

So how can we address the real core of the harmful ideas of religion without resorting to "slash & burn" tactics?

I listened to a podcast (of a MA. Christian radio show) recently hosted by a guy who has been in a ministry for 16 years talking to a young pastor involved in the new, upcoming XXXChurch.

The radio show guy disliked the fact that these pastors of the XXXChurch going into porno conventions and handing out Bibles because Christians shouldn't be exposed to that stuff (one caller said that they can't be a "church" if people don't follow up). Another caller said he was actually promoting the porn industry. The radio host suggested that they stand outside the entrance and hand out Bibles that way.

The guy from XXXChurch said that there is no place that Christ can't go into to save people. He wanted a way to reach others for Christ without being judgemental (as well as having a captive audience).

So what do you, as Christians, think about this? Do you applaud XXXChurch or find it to be foolish? Non-Christians can say stuff, too.

By the way, the website is xxxchurch.com.

If you are going to debate God with an atheist, than you better bring a whole lot more than the bible as proof. I am no rocket scientist but I would not go anywhere near that idea. The bible only proves that some men a long time ago had a great imagination. I took issue with Brenda 's World a couple of times because she said that atheists are more intelligent than theists. I have come to agree with her and I am a theist. I can name several atheist here, whom I like very much, who have a lot more smarts than me. Give it up, or look elsewhere for proof.
