I have always had excellent luck with that. My boyfriend and I have been together for almost three years, and we met online (Yahoo! personals).
My first non-friend/family roommate I met online (roommates.com), and she was the best person to ever live with.
I have met at least three other people from the internet, and none of them are crazy (except the fun kind of crazy), one I even lived with for a year (but we were friends for 6 years before that happened).

YES!!! I met my husband on Yahoo Personals! We met 3 years ago after answering a couple of emails on the net and speaking on the phone. We knew straight away almost that we never wanted to be apart. He proposed after 6 days and moved in with me after 3 weeks (although he spent most of his time at mine anyway!) We got engaged 10 months later and married 10 months after that - In May last year. He is my soulmate, the love of my life and I am his (we are of mature years!!) and I have never been so happy as I am now with him. So if you are thinking of going for it - do it, but bear in mind you might not meet 'the one' first off. I didn't, I had to kiss a few frogs first, although I was his first one (he arranged to meet someone else who didn't turn up). Don't meet with any preconceived ideas that he will be your soulmate, that way you won't be disappointed, but just accept whoever you meet for who they are and just treat it as a date. Good luck.

About a year before I moved to Egypt I joined a yahoo group and made many friends from the group. When I finally moved here I met many of them in person and it went very well. I am happy to have gotten to know them some before actually meeting them. But I know sometimes it can be dangerous doing this. You have to be careful and never meet them alone. If possible speak to them with a mic on messenger and maybe a camera before actually meeting them in person.

I met someone online once. I always thought that it was for fat loser women but apparently not. Myspace is a good way to meet guys that are younger because its made for the younger generation! Now that guy and I are together he moved to be with me and yeah i'm pregnant! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
