How did the development of fire contribute to the further development of culture?

It kept people alive in cold climates so their culture had a chance to develop. It opened the door too different kinds of food/diets such as cooked meals instead of just chowing down raw food. A campfire is an excellent place to socialize and learn new things about other people therefore building on existing culture.
