Then what you are saying is that the New Testament writers lied about Jesus. He really didn't rise from the dead, and all those miracles about Him are really false, right?
I could see your point, but there is just one problem. How do you account for the writers of the New Testament teaching about truth, love, honesty, giving, etc. all based on lies? Why would they suffer hardships like beatings, starvation, shipwreck, imprisonments, and finally execution for nothing but lies? What you are saying doesn't make any sense, and raises more questions than it answers.
The only logical explanation is that the fulfilled prophecies really did happen. Jesus actually rose from the dead. He performed miracles, and He forgave sins. He forgave sins then, and He can still do it now. My sins are forgiven, are yours?
Please note that many cult members will die for their faith as well. But they die for something they believe in, not for something they have seen. Muslims, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses all die for their faith. But the New Testament believers died for what they saw and believed, not for what they believed only. That is a big difference. The N.T. writers died claiming that they had seen the risen Lord. The cult members die for what they believe, and we know that believing doesn't make it true.

Is there an "original" Holy Bible? There is the King James Version and the Catholic Bible, but is there an English translation of the original Bible? One that is not modified to a particular religion?

live in Denmark in Europe, and the church attendance here is 2.5%. In other words, 975 out of every 1000 people do not attend church. As a Dane myself, I can tell you that the Danes do not substitute churchgoing for other kinds of religious activity. I personally don't know a single person who prays. People simply aren't religious at all.

I have never once been asked what church I go to, how I worship or anything like that. I can get asked "are you religious?" which is almost an embarrasing question - because what if the guy you are asking IS religious? That would be really awkward - because it's generally assumed that you're not.

What is your opinion about all this?

“In the Bible it is written; “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one can come unto the Father but by me.”

“I am the way” – namely, there is no other way but thine own way, revealed to thyself in the clarity that comes from deep, internal wounding, then examined carefully by self.”

“I am the truth” – namely, there is no other truth, save for the light within.

“I am the life” – namely, there is no greater life than that which comes inherently from understanding this depth of communion with the truest nature of oneself.”

“No one can come unto the Father but by me” – namely, that there is no other path to Self-perfection and achievement of enlightenment but by grasping and aligning with those forces coalescing within self, then represented by said Christ Light.”

Even on this subject when they have no religion? I mean it's called "Religion and Spirtuality" why don't you get your own category---"Hell bound"? If you have no religion why do you say "oh my Goodness" or "Oh Lord" when you stomp your toe, or hurt yourself. Or even "My Goodness" come on. Someone really stupid led you one and you belived it. How dumb is that? One day you will lift up your eyes and realize that you have just been waisting your time.

With the argument of christianity versus atheism, are we all way off base? I'm an atheist, but with the infinite amount of possibilities we could all be completely wrong. Who here is really justified to say I am right? Shouldn't we say, I believe, but who knows?

why do christians always say that the bible is true? The only proof of it is that it is "The Word of God" but the only place that says the bible is the word of god is in the bible.
If i say that everything i say is the truth. and then claim to be god does it make me god?
so there's no proof in saying it's the word of god... stop using it!

I know how I would say it LITERALLY, but I know a lot of times in Spanish, phrases don't translate exactly. I.E. "El hijo de la gata, ratones mata." Like father, like son. Literally, "The son of the cat kills mice."

Thanks!

Witches (Wiccans, Warlocks, etc.) do not even believe in Satan, for he is a Christian based theory that can not be proven. Just like God cannot be proven whatsoever. I am a bone-fide wiccan and i am proud of it. i love my beliefs and am happy with what i do-- and i do not believe in Satan- and i especially do not worship anyone under christian law. So why do some people think with their narrow minds that Wicca is a satanis religion when in the Wiccna religion- satan does not exist?

I have tried many churches, Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, and independents. The people there, all seem to be pro war, unwilling to donate time to assist the poor, and have no spirit.
