Have decorations that are both religious and non-religious. If it's actually called a CHRISTMAS party, then you should have no worries on this. If it's not though, and it's called a holiday party... then you may also want to have a candelabra for Hanukkah and well, basically something to represent everyone in your office.
Be sure to have a DJ who understands the theme of the occasion. You should have some traditional Christmas music, some more "modern" Christmas music, and also some of today's popular music mixed in there. Karaoke sounds good too, but make sure you also have an open bar or you might not get any participants.
Have a Santa Claus for people to go and sit on his knee and tell him what they want for Christmas. But make it so that they have to say it into a microphone. This can turn out to be pretty funny sometimes. And instead of an apple or a candy cane, have Santa give them a beer or a soda (whichever they prefer).
I also like the idea of asking people to bring an unwrapped toy to be donated to Toys for Tots and canned goods to be given to a local food pantry. Actually, it's a wonderful idea. Be sure to mention it on the invitations and fliers.
Those are just a few ideas off the top of my head. I'm sure I could come up with more if I were involved in the planning. (I love this sort of thing...) But alas, I'm not! I hope you have a great time! Merry Christmas. =)

One of the funnest parties I did, involved balloons with numbers hidden inside. Everyone had to sit on a balloon and pop it to get their number and see who won a prize. Of course it was only 50 people but if you blow up 50 balloons you might as well blow 300... ha ha !
Another thing with the balloons is that you can have a scavenger hunt. Inside each balloon is a direction to the next hint & directions. At the end you can see who finds the prize or what ever it is you have waiting there for them to find !
Just make it fun !! Nothing is more boing than company christmas parites put on by dead heads who couldn't think of anything fun to do! Posting your question here should help you come up with some darn good ideas !! Think I will put this on "watch" .
Merry Christmas !! : )

If you can find a DJ to spin some holiday tunes, dancing is always a good option. Karoake can be loads of fun too, especially if there is going to be drinking at the party.
One good idea to help keep the real meaning of the season in mind would be to have everyone bring an unwrapped toy to the party to be donated to Toys for Tots, or maybe collect nonperishable food to be donated to a local food pantry.
Good luck, and happy party planning!
