I found an old friend it appears she is a full blown member of the church of latterday saints.

Im just super shocked because.... back in high school we use to be wild teens and do what wild teens do... we kept in touch for years and I do know she been down on her luck with men and money and she ended as a single mom. ..

I hadnt talk to her in 2 years and just now I know she is divorced with three sons and is a new member of this church. I was happy to talk to her again this week. She doing better financially and she sounds devoted and serious about this church she joined. I was so very surprised that she did not talk about men because she always talked about men... I just felt like she changed and sounded different. What should I know? I dont want to ask inappropriate questions but I do wanna know what happen to my friend?

Especially why would they think themselves a vampire?

Is it an attempt for them to feel unique?

I am a person that fears death. Probably because I can't stand the thought of being non-existant. I want to believe I will go to heaven because I am a Christian, but now there is even a debate among Christian's that we either sleep in death or go to heaven. My question is...that if death is such a natural part of life, why is it feared so much by so many people, and why are people concerned with their existance afterward if it's so natural? I am open to any opinions from all religions. Thanx :-)

yes the buildings did fall. But !it was a bussy morning,1there were no buses,2there were no taxi's 3 there were no cars, also I just wached the footage on CBS and they showed all the fire figthers in the lobby ?all fire fighters are issued rescue maskes and tanks, they show about 20 fire fighters in the lobby ,no one has a tank and mask.the chief young guy has his jacket open the whole time and his white shirt never gets dirty.also a big deal there in the lobby and you hear glass and you see smoke ,the chief goes to find out if there's a way out.at no time dose any fire fighter dawn a mask which is basic,I went through fire fighting class. and the first thing you learn is to dawn your mask, also they keep showing them walk through smoke and debre but at no time do you see them hake ,chock ,spit ,or snot running from there nose?in even lesser dust ,smoke you would see snot and tears, this was filmed and edited prior to the attack.they said they had been to the WTC" five times a day piore.F.B

...and, somehow, it's "proven" to be THE bible we're actually supposed to follow. That it was a revision/replacement of the one we currently have and most everything in it is opposite of most everything you have ever believed or been taught. (Just for example, it might say that homosexuality is not a sin.)

Now, what if all the religious leaders in the world--including your own--decided to start using this new bible? And now they are preaching opposite what they've always preached. Of course, there will be some differences to it because everyone interprets the bible differently, which is why we have organized religion in the first place.

How would you handle this? Would you accept the new bible? Would you change how you view certain things or people like homosexuals? (Again, that's just an example.) Would you beg God's forgivness for having worshipped "incorrectly" based on the wrong bible? Would you lose faith? What would you do?

He never has went to church, but now these people in suits show up every couple weeks and he hands them cash. I understand seeking god in old age, but after reading the wiki article on this religion I wonder if they are milking grandpa's savings. Would they just take anything he gives them? Would they promise him things (afterlife/god/forgiveness) in return for money?

check this out:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/jehovah's_w...

what should I do?

I did not make this up. Im not over there all the time, but I was there once when they came over and because I was there they went out to the woodshed to talk. I accidentally saw through the kitchen window as he handed them some bills from his wallet.

These people are legit church reps, but does that mean they won't take all his money? He is WWII vet on SS with parkinsons. I love him, but I feel it would be disrepectful to say anything. He/we have never discussed god in any conversation ever.

What does it mean to be a college graduate? What does that piece of parchment signify?
My one thought is that if you have gained facts but view the world as you did in high school then you may have missed the real meaning.
