As an Aussie, I have mixed feelings about this type of question. I think Steve Irwin was a remarkable man who did a lot of good things for the whole world and I know most people don't want his memory to be tarnished in any way.
On the other hand, it has long been a coping mechanism in Australia to make light of terrible events by telling jokes about them. It happened after September 11, when the Pope died, and many other famous Australian Icon's deaths or misfortunes.
I'm not trying to justify jokes of poor taste in any way shape or form, just trying to explain the possible reasons behind their telling. One hopes that if Steve is up there looking down that he would crack a wry smile at some of the jokes that have arisen.
You were a bloody good bloke Steve, we'll miss you terribly. Rest in Peace.

Lisa S. the insensitive immature little biiatch that doesn't know enough about life or anything else for that matter to post jokes about the recently deceased.

I honestly don't think Steve Irwin would mind. He was always up for a joke.

Crikey, you're not funny. Let the man rest in peace a while before the jokes start. I'm sure his family and friends aren't laughing.

THAT IS VERY CRUEL, u should be ashamed of yourself, i would hope that when u have a loved one that dies that u wouldn't want jokes made about them
show some respect
its not a comedy that killed off an actor
he is a real human that died and has real family mourning for him
