I'm a christian and I have had faith issues but I believe in God and the bible. But lets just say that you are right and there is no God. What do I have to lose? Nothing. On the other hand, if you are wrong what do you have to lose? Pretty scary if you think about it.
I didn't post this to argue about who's right or wrong. I just wanted to give unbelievers something to think about.
How can you look at this world and all that's in it and not wonder how it all got here?

I was on a gondola in Italy and there was romantic music playing all around me....I began to feel someone's hands slip down my blouse. I looked up and it was him

I woke up and realized it was a dream, but for those few seconds I felt like the luckiest girl in the world!

The question:

Wouldn't you?

There is no way that he could fit every animal in the world on his ark, excluding animals that could survive for 40 days in the water. I'd like to see someone figure out how big his ship would have to have been in order to fit 2 of every animal on there. Let's say that he manage to have a ship big enough to fit all the animals on. How would he collect all the animals? Did he go to the north pole to get Polar Bears? I really can't see how anyone can believe this fairy tale. I've got it! God warped the animals to Noah!

I'm fully aware that many of you out there think that Hell is a scare tactic to try to get people to come to Christians' way of thinking, but this isn't the place to vent that opinion, alright? The answer I'm looking for is a list.

"THIS Religion believes in Hell".
"This Religion doesn't believe in Hell as Christians know it, but more of like a blah blah blah blah..."
"This religion actually has SEVERAL hells."

Know what I mean?

He never has went to church, but now these people in suits show up every couple weeks and he hands them cash. I understand seeking god in old age, but after reading the wiki article on this religion I wonder if they are milking grandpa's savings. Would they just take anything he gives them? Would they promise him things (afterlife/god/forgiveness) in return for money?

So technically, god created himself.

God is the sentience of the universe itself. Like the spirit/soul of everything.

Thanks, please no hate, so tired of hate... just wanna know what people think is all.

I've just read a bunch of replies to the homosexual in church thread and several christians have posted "Yes, so long as you aren't an active homosexual" and then they'll yank a bible verse. I'd like to ask...do you watch television? do you go to the movies? do you celebrate Christmas and Easter?

That ALWAYS troubled me when I was a sheeple, why is it that every sin is EXUSED away except homosexuality? Paul admonishes the christians NOT to worship god in any way shape or form like pagans yet most christians I know (even fundies) celebrate Christmas, Easter and Sunday worship (Sun day was 'the' day pagans worshipped the Sun God).

How can you even give people an 'if' when you are in sin yourself?

I have a friend and he says I'm shallow and materialistic because I buy quality things. He thinks there's no need to spend on quality clothes, makeup, purses, shoes, shampoo, etc. He says there's no reason I can't go to Wal-Mart for those things. I don't understand this at all. I say this because we went to the mall and I bought some stuff at Lancome and some undies at Victorias Secret. He was bitching the whole time that I spend too much and that I'm materialistic. What do you all think? Just looking for opinions on what you guys think.

Not talking about yours, but life in general, from the spider crawling on the vine outside, to the vine itself.

The world is such an amazing place to me :)

God truly is great.

Why don't u get it?

Jesus said it over and over again, HE IS THE FATHER!! HE IS GOD in the FLESH. What makes him the son is the fact that he had a HUMAN body(carnal flesh)!! Hes both at the same time!!

Jesus told Philip in John 14:9
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
John 10:38
38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. ARE THEY NOT ONE??

JESUS TOLD the DEVIL in :
Matt 4:7
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Wasn't Jesus the one who was being tempted? Oh yeah maybe that means that Jesus is the Lord GOD!! cmon ppl lets all rightly divide the word of truth!!
2 Tim 2:15

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

What good is hate doing? Hating for ethnicity, religion, appearance, etc. Despite the fact that I am nice to everyone, there are those who are just downright hateful. It's just sad to see that people hate others for no reason. Sad how much evil there is going around. Anyone else tired of people who hate for no good reason?

Ealier today my father reminded me of a day almost a year ago...

My friend Jonathan and I had been friends since I was 13, and he was 14, I fell in love with him when I was 14, but I never admitted it to myself until two months after I was 17.

Last year just a week after my 17 birthday Jonathan "came out", and my father upset him, and I did not say anything to him out of fear (pure terror actually). I lost my friend because of that. I wish I had of told him I was too scared of my father to stick up for him, then maybe he would still be around.

I hate being reminded of that day, that was the first time I realised I was too weak to stand up to my own father, the day I lost the greatest person in my life, and the day I found out what pain really was... I really miss him... Even though I see him around town about once every other month since he lives near by...
