When I bought this old house ten years ago, people would tell me that their was something here. I lived with a Native American as a boyfriend for awhile also and he told me their was something here also. I didn't take notice because I worked so much but since then alot has changed in my life and I'm home alot. Well, the ghost is very active! We find dirty silverware in our clean drawer. Our old clock if not rewound will not run its pendulum, then all of a sudden it starts swinging for no reason what so ever even if its not been wound. My dishes clank spontaneously in the cabinet. I saw on two occasions big orange balls of light just float across my wall where no light is there. Ice cold air will come around my face and leave without any provocation what so ever. When I had T.V. the channels would start changing all by themselves, then just stop. Sometimes it wouldn't stop and I had to turn the T.V. off for the night. I'm so used to by now that not too much bothers me any longer. Sometimes the wall will bang like someone kicked it and not ever that bothers me any longer. He would have to do better than that in order to make me stand up and take notice now. I do not understand why people let that stuff bother them or do no believe that stuff exists. Whatever. I don't mind and I see it every day so I take it for granted. The only thing I'm very grateful to God for it is not demonic in nature. I could not afford to move because I only paid twenty four thousand dollars for this tiny little place and can afford to live here an nowhere else.

I honestly believe that my house is haunted. My neighbors say that where my house is and my other neighbor, that it used to be an old indian burial ground. Sometimes the tv will turn on in the basement, when nobody is down there. Or we will hear people talking..it gets a little bit scary sometimes. But, I can't do anything about it so I try to not let it bother me.

Haunted house (& more) ... I read this in a very interesting book :-
The idea that there is a phenomenon called Black Magic is attributable to credulity, superstition, and a lack of understanding of the laws governing in the mental world. All thoughts and all things are held in solution in the Universal Mind. The individual may open his mental gates and thereby become receptive to thoughts of any kind or description. If he thinks that there are magicians, witches, or wizards who are desirous of injuring him, he is thereby opening the door for the entrance of such thoughts and he will be able to say with Job, “The things I feared have come upon me.” If, on the contrary, he thinks that there are those who are desirous of helping him, he thereby opens the door for such help, and he will find that “as thy faith is, so be it unto thee” is as true today as it was two thousand years ago.

Geez, I hope not - I have too many years left on the mortgage!
I did stay at an Inn in Port Townsend, Washington, called Manresa Castle, which is supposed to be haunted; fortunately we did not encounter the ghost. We stayed in the turret room she supposedly haunts, but she did not visit us.

When I was a child yes. I hated that house. One room was always ice cold. My friends hated coming over. Doors would slam for no reason, lots of things. I didn't know until years after we moved and I was older that an old woman died of Cancer in the room that was always cold. The house I am in now with my husband in New Orleans, I had some weird vibes in that house at first. They weren't scary, but weird to me. I found out his dad died there.

I've had a ghost but I wouldn't say it's haunted because it wasn't scary. That ghost has moved on already, he was cool. I get a ghost in here once in a while now but it's okay, I know them and they are welcome here.
