He never has went to church, but now these people in suits show up every couple weeks and he hands them cash. I understand seeking god in old age, but after reading the wiki article on this religion I wonder if they are milking grandpa's savings. Would they just take anything he gives them? Would they promise him things (afterlife/god/forgiveness) in return for money?

what should I do?

I did not make this up. Im not over there all the time, but I was there once when they came over and because I was there they went out to the woodshed to talk. I accidentally saw through the kitchen window as he handed them some bills from his wallet.

I think these people are from the church, but does that mean they won't take all his money? He is WWII vet on SS with parkinsons. I love him, but I feel it would be disrepectful to tell him what to do. I'm afraid to confront the church people for fear they will turn him against me.

Personally, I think you may have made this story up. Churches take money, they don't give it away. If what you say is true then, the J.W.'s are wrong. (I don't like/believe the J.W.'s false doctrine anyway). You don't pay people to attend church or a religious service. If the J.W.'s are doing this they must be in a real financial bind or just desperate. Tell 'ole gramps to tell those J.W.'s to take a hike.

That's scary. If they are really good people, they shouldn't even ask money from an old man who is no longer earning. Who knows if they are even legit or just con artists. Tell your grandpa that salvation will come from within and other people cannot help him get there.

I would suggest having a minister of a reformed church speak to your grandfather. Also show him the article you read. Explain that they aren't really going to help him, but instead take his money for their own use.

That is some messed up shiznazz. I suggest you take it upon yourself (if you are able to) to tell these individuals to back away from your grandfather, especially if their visits seem to be disturbing or making your grandfather feel uncomfortable. If they are bothering your grandpa, they have no right to even approach him because he is not in a state of having to deal with these kinds of issue. Tell them to leave your grandfather alone.

darling you should go over to his house when they come over and tell them not to come by anymore and tell him if he wants to go to church that you will take him or something b//c they will go over there until he won't give anymore and then they will try to make him feel bad tell them if they keep coming over that you will put a retsraining order on them who knows they might not even be who they say they are and taking adavantage I hope not but you can't be to careful these days on who you let in your house especially the elderly people are always trying to find out scams to get over on the elderly it is sad but just tell them that and they should leave him alone

How about one weekend you hide the stuff in his front lawn, and when the witnesses come, you walk to the door naked... If they ask questions, tell them he moved! Simple
