Sergeant Bilko? That was a funny show with Phil Silvers, but that does go back aways.

I Love Lucy is a classic, and Taxi was great as well. It is hard to choose one.

That's almost too tough to answer. Each generation had high points or strings of successes. However, don't forget The Honeymooners and Taxi.

I was never a Friends fan (and I realize I'm probably the only one).
I didn't fully appreciate Seinfeld until it was in syndication. Oh, I'd watch it and get into it but watching it now it's somehow funnier.

Of all of these M*A*S*H, to me, comes across as the most dated whenever I watch it, although at times I can still enjoy it (especially whenever I see Harry Morgan and Jamie Farr).

All in the Family is a period piece BUT there is so much there that is still socially accurate. I haven't seen Taxi in a while but just the thought of it brings back so many fond memories. The Honeymooners is an all time favorite: the writing, the acting, how the fact that Ralph and Alice genuinely love one another comes through in every line.

Which is the greatest of all time? I'd have to say All in the Family because of the barriers it broke. Who would have thought that a comedy about a prejudiced man would be a hit?

"Greatest" is a loaded word. I'd say All in the Family, since it deal with important societal issues, followed by Mash.

Cheers is my personal favorite of the ones you mention, closely followed by Mash, then Friends. Seinfeld is sometimes humorous, but the fact that everyone on the show is evil wears on you after a while.

I dunno....not really a 'sitcom' type of chic. I always liked Seinfeld. I hate Friends....Oh wait, I know FULL HOUSE AND THE BRADY BUNCH!

No seriously, I like Everybody Loves Raymond and Everybody Hates Chris
Different World and Roseanne are good too....

i love lucy is a classic that i loved as a kid. as an adult, i'd have to say friends tops everything. . . the writing was always fresh and funny, the characters were fun and loveable, and the cast had great chemistry- they worked so well together, you could tell they had a special relationship beyond the characters they were playing.

Seinfeld is amazing, but in my opinion, the following are just as good, if not better...

Goodnight Sweetheart
Fawlty Towers
Curb Your Enthusiasm

From current shows I like Becker. From older shows I'd have to say either MacGyver or Diagnoses Murder.
