I know Satan can influence and tempt Believers. However, is it possible for Satan and his demons to influence OTHERS surrounding a Believer(friends, family, ect), to betray or reject that Believer for the sole purpose of weakening their faith?

Or is Satan's effort usually not that methodical where he STRATEGICALLY ATTACKS an individual with that much individualized attention? If this individualized focus is possible, what determines who Satan will set his focus on and why? What would such an aggressive spiritual attack mean for the Believer?

I was brought up Christian (Baptist) but lost my faith along the way. My bf was brought up Jewish, but he also lost faith. We are both convinced there is an afterlife as we have seen things now and again. Spiritualism sounds like it might be what we are looking for, can anyone give us a brief 'idiot's guide' to the main beliefs? Would be really interested to hear genuine responses.
Thanks...

I don't mind people being religious, but why are they so bothered about trying to convert others. Surley if their religion was so good, they wouldn't need to try and sell it to other people.

Must Wiccans and/or Pagans share all of the same beliefs as other Wiccans and/or Pagans, like the more commonly practiced religions such as Christianity (and all of its different variations), Judaism and/or Islam?

I am a Catholic and I think that Believers of all faiths, Atheists, and Agnostics all share more than many realize. Who here would walk past a starving child and not give him a bite to eat? Who would slap away a begging women? Who could look at a dying person lying in the street and feel nothing? If you saw an old woman shivering in the cold would you not try and help her? I believe we need to stop arguing and insulting each other and realize we share much more than those divisions. We can discuss but why argue?

according to some quote by osama bin laden in some magazie newspaper, it is allowed by islam for muslims to kill. according to the quote, the "enemy" is allowed a chance by converting. if he refuses to convert to islam, they can be killed... isnt that like forcing the person to convert? and why are muslims always on war with someone? In this year itself there is Iraq and USA... Isrel and Lebanon...

if I do not have knowledge of everything. If I do not believe in any Gods then doesn't that by default make me an Atheist. I freely admit that I am not full of knowledge, but from what I do know I can not believe a God (An entity that is worshipped) created all of this. Nor do I believe in any individual entity that could have created the universe.

For example if you read Genesis, Chapter No. 4, Verse No. 12, it says… ‘God told Cain: you will never be able to settle you will be a wanderer.’ Few Verses later on Genesis, Chapter No.4, Verse No.17, says…‘Cain built up a city’ – unfulfilled prophecy. If you read Jeremiah, Chapter No.36, Verse No.30, it says that…‘Jehoiachin the father of Jehoiachin… no one will be able to sit on his throne - The throne of David, no one will be able to sit after Jehoiachin.’ If you read later on, II Kings, Chapter No 24, Verse No 6, it says that… ‘Jehoiachin after he died, later on Jehoiachin sat on the throne’ - Unfulfilled prophecy. One is sufficient to prove it is not the word of God - I can give plenty. If you read Ezekiel, Chapter No 26, it says that…‘Nebuchader, he will destroyed Tyre.’ We come to know that Alexander the great, was the person who destroyed Tyre - Unfulfilled prophecy.

I can give several, plenty unfulfilled prophecies - One is sufficient to prove the Bible wrong

I've been told that no one other than myself should handle my cards. I have a seven year old daughter who will have her hands all over these cards if she sees them. What to do? I haven't opened them yet.

An afternoon bbq with my collegues from work was a lot of fun. We drank and chatted the afternoon away; had lots of laughs. The bbq was held at a boss's home-but the food and libations were paid for out of our company's entertainment budget. When I left, I put a quarter full bottle of Drambuie in my bag. I feel really stupid and horrible about that. Now I want to know if I should ignore my bad manners and hope that nobody noticed or cares or should I return the bottle. I feel quite embarrassed and really stupid as I am looked up to and haven't done something like this before.

Return it on Tuesday when I get into work?
Ignore it and hope others ignore it too as a one off ?
