now dont tell me that its the fault of the jews and americans ok, because that answer is nothing but boring and stale.
so muslims now i need an answer?

Muslims (as well as some others) are so backward in response to our global change and growth. People want to maintain control over something they perceive as uncontrollable and scary. When people don't understand and it scares them - they throw it into the realm of the gods. It keeps things untangible since our perception of God is intangible and unknowable. You keep people guessing as to what is right and moral - you keep everything stagnant and status quo.

As long as we have change we will have some folks being backwards and fundamentalists. If you use this as a gauge then we must be on the verge of some major breakthroughs in energy and medicine and knowledge.

Let's try that for years the Arabs were ruled by the French and the British, and before that the Ottomans. Does that suit you better than Jews and Americans? It is the true answer. They were not too interested in educating people who might rise up against them someday.

It has only been a short time that the the Arab world has had the chance to join the educated world.

And, the larger percentage of Muslims in other parts of the world, it is the same thing. Education has not been easily obtained for them.

Any backwardsness I don't think is necessarily their fault and I definitely won't blame Americans or Jews who had nothing to do with their state and definitely not their religion. It's their leaders who made the backwardness. These are dictators who repress women, tell their people what to do, incite cultural warfare (like Shiites versus Sunnis). Their being brainwashed to accept scapaegoats for their poor state so that the despots may avoid the backlash from repressed subjects thinking critically about their own corrupt adminsitrations. Remember that Iraiqis had greater voter tunrout in their own election, under terrorist threats of attacks then our own comparitively stress-free elections. When given the chance and told something different, Muslims want to exercise the same freedoms that many Americans take for granted

I'm not Muslim, I'm a Christian by the grace of God.
I just want to say that not all Muslims are backward. Most are educated and well spoken people from many different countries and cultures.

Right now all attention is focused on the Middle Eastern Muslims which is giving their faith a black eye. Not all Muslims believe in terror and oppression.

I'm finding that it's the cultures that are causing the problems not necessarily the religion.

The really question is why are you so rude! I am not one who buys in to Muslims who blame the Israelis, the Americans, the Western Europeans, etc... for their problems, but being rude towards them is not that answer. The reality is you make yourself look pretty "backward" to borrow your word. The reality with most of the Muslim world is that they what to blame others for their own failings. It is a very human thing to do - but it is a very ugly side of humanity.
