Two distinct time frames apply.
First when people who are ill, infirm or just generally weak are asleep they tend to hit the deepest sleep between roughly 1 and 3 am. Frequently respiration and heart rate drops to it's lowest and then it just is not sufficient to keep them alive. They pass peacefully away.
Although rare even healthy young people can be at risk from this if they are night workers sitting quietly at a desk such as a nurse on a quiet night shift.
The other time frame is on waking up. This particularly hits females harder than men. Having been asleep with lower heart rate and respiration the body is not equipped to handle much. It really does need a few minutes to increase the rates and get the oxygen round the body again. Getting out of bed as soon as someone wakes or very soon thereafter puts a strain on the body and in the old an infirm this can be too much for it. The body lacks the oxygen it needs and cannot start collecting and moving it to the organs fast enough. The person lapses quickly into unconsciousness and death. It is not unusual in these cases for the person to void their stomach and bowel contents and this is part of the bodies panic to survive.

It's because people who could be there to notice immediately when the person is not breathing can call 911 aren't able to do so.
Because everyone's sleeping, they'll wake up and find out that someone passed away quietly in their sleep.
By that time, there's nothing more that paramedics or anyone can do since it's already too late.
During the day time, someone can be rushed to the hospital or the ambulance can get there to resuscitate them and keep them alive.
If a person has already passed away in the early morning, the coroner will pronounce the time of death, which is usually in the wee hours of the morning when there was no one attending to them.

I've read that it is because of the sudden strain put on the body when you get up. You go from resting or laying down to walking around which cause the heart to have to work harder. So the moral of the story is if you want a long life stay in bed.

Probably for the same reason most people are born in the early morning hours: nobody knows.

That's when the body is most at rest and the rate of the heart beat slows the most.

This makes aperson more vulnerable.

Because that is when the drunks are on the road?...
Sleep.. body resting... lying down... fluids build up where they should not... not strong enough to overcome them... then the big sleep takes you.

Coz God is expecting us to pray 5 times per day.
So if you die early morning next day , you will be questioned- have you fullfilled previous day prayers or not?
