i've heard lots of real stories related to this and my grandfather personally had the ghost of his bestfriend visit him physically pretending to have survived an accident which he actually died in few minutes before he came personally to gist them all about it and just as someone was coming to deliver the bad news of the dead guy he left a few minutes before the person coming to deliver the news arrived and so many others like that to people who have actually experienced such....

they have a different face but the same eyes. the eyes are the window to the soul and do not change.
have you ever looked anyone in the eyes and thought 'i know them from somewhere ?'
the rest is amnesia, this has to be so that you have no pre-concieved perceptions and are open to your new identity and test. the test is your life plan, the reason we are all here is to fulfill our life plan, even hitler. without the life plan of hitler, jesus, stalin, or even you! , the world would not have gone through a change. not all changes appear good at the first instance. indeed religion has created more death than hitler.

I suppose it is possible, but I would have expected a lot of people to have bumped into the double of the person that died. Since I have never heard such a story I would have to doubt it very much.

I'm not sure about the dying early thing. Billions of people die before the average western life span. The average lifespon in the middle ages was 40. 'Early' means something different in most cultures.
I'm not sure if I believe in re-incarnation or not. There are some intriguing stories out there that support it.

I believe the soul of people who die early do come back but not with the same body/face, this is just a shell.

Good question, but no one seems to remember their past lives and if they don't have their memories and they even the same person? I lean towards no.

the person cant return but i suppose the soul might, there has to be some kind of cycle. giving one theory for De ja vu.
