I know Satan can influence and tempt Believers. However, is it possible for Satan and his demons to influence OTHERS surrounding a Believer(friends, family, ect), to betray or reject that Believer for the sole purpose of weakening their faith?
Or is Satan's effort usually not that methodical where he STRATEGICALLY ATTACKS an individual with that much individualized attention? If this individualized focus is possible, what determines who Satan will set his focus on and why? What would such an aggressive spiritual attack mean for the Believer?

NOTE: I realize the mind is the battlefield Satan often chooses. However, I'm specifically concerned with whether or not Satan uses OTHERS surrounding a believer to help initiate his spiritual attacks, when a Believer is strong in Christ, and mentally focused on the Lord?

According to St. Teresa of Avila, in her book "Interior Castles," the closer we get to God the more Satan tries to get to you. The reason, she and others believe, is that if he gets your soul, he will get the souls of all others that you may have helped to God.

Different religions will have different answers to such question...
But one thing for sure, satan can and will do whatever it is in his power to do what he wants..
Generally, if they have strong faith in their belief system, it will make harder for them to be tempted by Satan.
Satan tends to focus on people who are weak in their faith. This is because satan can lure such people easily into the path of darkness.
I do not know if it is possible for satan and his army of demons to influence the believer's close ones but it seem to be possible.
There is a case where the demons can use his subject's close ones in order to get him what he wants. But this usually happens when the subject initially turns to the path of darkness and decides to sell his soul to the demons.. yes, this is possible.. The reason why his close ones are 'used' is because he fails to give what he offered to the demon upon the pact he made. His close ones are then tortured or taken advantage by the demons until the subject pays his debt.
Some people who are really religious and are attacked by Satan will take it as a sign to reafirms his faith. Some will think differently and decides to convert himself to another religion, thinking such act will avoid the attack. Others will have other views. This really depends on the individual.
I hope I can be at least a little help to the question you asked. Have a nice day.

I disagree with freakspy. Satan can not do whatever he wants to do. He can only do what God allows him to do. Satan focuses less on people who are weak in their faith or who have no belief in God because they are not a threat. He is more aggressive with firm Believers in Christ because they have faith.
Another thing, when Satan influences loved one's of a Christian, it does not always mean it is because that Christian has strayed and made a pact with Satan, or turned to a path of darkness. Job was tested very aggressively and his loved one's turned against him because of Satan's suggestions. Satan even tried to tempt Christ and we know Job and Christ had no involvement in the activities you've described.
The stronger your faith in God, and the closer relationship you have with God, the more aggressive spiritual attacks will be. That's why we're told to wear the spiritual suit of armor.

I think the Bible answers this. Remember after 40 days in the wilderness, Jesus was tempted by the devil.. And in Revelation, the devil enters the Antichrist. So I think the devil and demons do focus on certain ones from time to time... resist the devil and he will flee. And it said that the devil left for a season. (Jesus' temptations).
I'm not sure what determines an attack, but you try to get an opponent when they are down or new to something before confidence is built up.

I agree. Like i've got mentioned in my different previously placed up i'm a nurse so i attempt to look on the medical area of issues yet I additionally am very conscious for what devil and his minions/demons can do. I even have individually witnessed demonic possession. I even have had those reports that ranged from feeling definitely terrified, paralyzed, with an unmistakable feeling of evil to feeling something sit down down or crawl on my mattress, grab my legs, carry me down with an entire experience of drawing close doom. you're able to tutor your self on what sleep paralysis is and if it pertains to you yet don't be deceived, The devil and his demons attempt to deceive you and attempting to make you think of you're loopy yet they are genuine and unsafe. I recommend you pray the two out loud and take charge!

i think it is possible for it to be that strategic. Read about the lives of some of the saints. The more you spread God's word effectively, the bigger the threat you are to satan, so the harder the attack. Sometimes it's even been physical beating.

They sure do. Satan hates it when one of God's people reach others. He may attack certain people more aggresively because he sees that God has gifted them with away to reach more people or more influencial people. Satan is alive and well and attacking our churchs from both inside and out.

Satan attacks however and wherever possible. There are no standard methods. When he is desperate the attacks can become vicious.
