Yes we are, there are many prophecies in the bible which talk about events and signs to show that we are living in the last days, all of which have and are being fulfilled. For example a simple calculation from the bible shows that the last days started in 1914, other prophecies then show what would happen from that point such as matthew 24:1-14, and 2timothy 3:1-5, there are many others, when you consider them all you cannot deny that we are living in the last days, all of this is a sign that very soon god will step in to put an end to the badness on the earth. The answers to this sort of question usually fall into two categories: 1) Yes, the end is definitely coming (usually from Christians), or 2) You actually think there's going to be an end? Then you're an idiot (from skeptics).
This is not my area of expertise, but here is the way I, as a Christian, think about the last days.
Today there are many preachers who say "look at the signs, we are definitely living in the last times" -- but in nearly every generation since the beginning of Christianity there have been people who believed with certainty that the end would come in their own day, and all of them have been wrong. When you add in the fact that the apocalyptic portions of the Bible are some of the most difficult to interpret, then it becomes clear that this is an area where Christians need to have a great deal of humility.
What is important for the Christian is that s/he hopes for, believes, and expects that Christ will return to earth one day to completely renew and heal his creation. That could be today, tomorrow, or a thousand years from now. Regardless of when Jesus will return we are called to continue to do everything we can to bring his love to a hurting world (that includes being concerned with the environment, something that "end times" preachers frequently neglect. A quotation attributed to Martin Luther says, "If I knew the world would end tomorrow then I'd plant a tree today.")

As far as all the scary and terrible things going on in the world -- things like that have been happening throughout all of human history (the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki 60 years ago is much scarier and far more tragic than 9-11: there were over 100,000 lives lost). These tragedies don't necessarily mean the end is near, they just show us the need to work for peace and the need for an end -- a final and decisive healing of this broken world.

And finally, don't forget that a lot of popular interpretations of the end times (Left Behind, etc.) are just that: interpretations. There are a lot of ways to skin a cat, and there are a lot of ways to understand what the Bible says about the end. : )

The last time answered this same question, The guy got really offended with me because I called him some names that made him sound like a not so intelligent person.

So I am going to be very nice this time and going to save a copy of this answer so that I could cut and paste when some one asks next time, which I believe will be tomorrow (Ya, this question probably is the most repeated question on yahoo)

Anyhow, This speculation of last days had been there for the past 500 years. The Jehovas Witness believe it mainly. So what I say is that, if we use our own intelligence and look out side the window a bit, we would realise that it is not so. It sounds a bit abnormal to believe in something like that from how I see.

I don't think we're in the last days. There are supposed to be years of plauges and thousand years of this and that. The "yellow" race is even suppose to rule the world for a period of time. I remember my mother showing me that in the bible and someone here also said it (can't find it myself, but I know it's in there, just not specifically as "yellow").

IF anything we are on the edge.

The Bible speaks of the 4 horseman. Some say this is symbolic, but the oil runs out in 200 years so we may be back to horse, so this can be literal.

We don't know for sure.

The first thing is for sure we don't have anyone that seems to meet the Anti-Chirst definition (An Assyrian who people follow, who has the mark of the beast and who controls everything and nothing can be bought or sold without that mark) per se. There are lots of maybes and ifs. Some say it's the credit card, well then a lot of Christians will not go to heaven. Some say it's the interenet. Well, then a lot of Christians will not go to heaven. Some say it's Bush, well, then a lot of Christains, including most people from Texas and Florida, will not go to heaven.

The Amish may be the only people that have a chance of getting into the book of life and even they are starting to have a "communal" telelphone in their villages.

So if it's true than Christians better start worrying who they are aligning themselves with and stick to God and Jesus and forgo Bush, Billy Graham, the Pope, Pat Robertson, Robert Schuller and all those others, for any of them can be "the" or "a" false prophet and those who follow don't get into the book of life!

Free will.

Chose wisely.

It's a matter of perspective. Personally, I think the current times are not as bad as when I a kid in the late 60's & early 70's.

We had the concept of the 4 minutes warning - you get the 4 minute warning, when the USSR (and USA) launches all it's ICBM's & you have 4 minutes until you die - everyone dies, 4 minutes until the earth is wiped out by nuclear holocaust & then Fimbulwinter.

There is nothing like that threatening us now.

Yes, but everyday is someones last days as mentioned in the bible, revaluations is an everyday occurrence, that's why the religion fail to mention this, most would believe it will be on a large scale, but in one way it is, how many people will die to day, how many are living in there last days not even knowing.

WE are living in the last days and Jesus will be coming very soon. If you look at all the prophecies about the Coming, you find them all completed right now but one and that is not far in the future and could come very quickly. For more info see the site below.

No, since the end times in the bible were around the 1st and 2nd century AD in Rome I really don't think that's when we're living. Look at a calender idiot.
