I am SO sick of people giving me a thumbs down on my answers for no reason. I'm not being rude or cruel in any way, and some jack@ss comes along and starts going all the way down the row giving everyone thumbs down on their answers. I wish we could see who leaves us feedback because they would definately get a piece of my mind. Am I just being over-sensitive, or does this bother anyone else?

I don't want a sexist God. Men and women should be equal.

God should not have a chosen people or he is showing favoritism.

Slavery is wrong. No excuses, period.

My view about this is a very long debate. Who really has the right to say it's wrong or even right? O.K. The bible mentions it's wrong and it's for a man & a women. It also says For who has not sin to cast the first stone as well, and it amazes me to see many christian judge gay & lesbian people because they are "GAY" but why? Are you to hate someone just because they believe in something different way or see it another way? I'm just trying to understand why people have to play GOD and pass judgement. There are many religious gay people as well just because your gay does not mean you don't have GOD in your life. I feel if you love someone as you would love some one of the other sex and commit to that one person for life to live with your partner as like of man & wife would be & already had God in your life Then if that is what you believe in your heart (by the way we have MANY DIFFERENT religions!) I feel it's You who needs to answer to GOD & NOT who want to play GOD...Just a view :o)

A SUMMARY ON THE PROMINENCE OF ST. PETER THE APOSTLE:
Taken from Encyclopaedia Britannica

The Synoptic Gospels agree that Peter served as spokesman, the outstanding member of the group, and enjoyed a certain precedence over the other disciples. For example:
•Whenever the disciples are listed, Peter is mentioned first (Mt 10:2-4; Mk 3:16-19; Lk 6:14-16; Acts 1:13; cf. Only Gal 2:9).
•Those not belonging to the immediate followers of Jesus also recognized the authority of Peter, (Mt 17:24)
•Sought clarification from Jesus on behalf of the disciples (Mt 15:15)
•Peter is mentioned by name while others are indicated as merely accompanying him (Mk 1:36; Lk 8:45)
•Even when the three disciples closest to Jesus (the “pillars” -- Peter, James, and John) figure in a particular incident, it is frequently Peter alone who is named. When the three are named, Peter’s name appears first (Mt 17:1, 26:37).

Gay people are the new faces of accepted discrimination.
Muslims and people of Arab descent are being targeted because of the events of 9/11/2001.
Iraq is being attacked because it was randomly chosen as the only country that is a breeding ground for terrorists and terrorism.

Does one group (or the majority) have to oppose another group (or the minority) in order to collect votes?

God is good, and the Ten Commandments are His standard of goodness. So,we will look at God's Law ask yourself if you have obeyed the following:
1.You shall have no other gods before Me. (Have you always loved God above all else?)
2.You shall not make yourself an idol. (Have you made a god in your mind that you're more comfortable with, a god to suit yourself?)
3.You shall not take God's name in vain. (Have you ever used God's holy Name as a cuss word?)
4.Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy.
5.Honor your father and mother.
6.You shall not murder. (God considers hatred to be as murder).
7.You shall not commit adultery. ("Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart" this also includes sex before marriage).
8.You shall not steal. (Have you ever stolen anything? (the value of the item is irrelevant).
9.You shall not lie. (Have you lied even once? Including answering these questions).
10.You shall not covet.(Ever jealous?)

I treat all people with respect. Why do people get so wrapped up in religion that they stop doing that? Why can you not all believe different things without having to discredit someome else? Why do you think you are right and they are wrong? I do not understand.

Let me quickly say that I pity a person who does not recognize God in life. I know some people have sociological conditions that robs them of this truth. I pray for those people.

St. Thomas Aquinas said: The truth of our faith becomes a matter of ridicule...if any Catholic, not gifted with the necessary scientific learning, presents as a dogma what scientific scrutiny show to be false.

AQUINAS CAME UP WITH 5 PROOFS OF THE EXISTENCE OF GOD:

Read St. Thomas Aquinas' 5 proofs of Gods' existence in the Great Books of the Western World that can be found in the reference section of any descent library. In short God was not created. Here is an abbreviated version of what Aquinas wrote:

1. Whatever is moved (subsequent mover) is moved by another. (One of Newton's laws of motion) But this cannot go on to infinity, because then there would be no first mover, and consequently, no other mover... Therefore it is necessary to arrive at a first mover which is moved by no other.

Sometimes it is a struggle,
Just to bring ones self to rise.
And often climbing a gentle slope
Is harder than reaching to the skies.
This body is so frail,
It oft times cannot stand the test.
It refuses my demands,
And requests it's own rest.
And I sink in humiliation.
When I seek to be upright and strong.
I cannot do this all alone.
I am human, and this is wrong.
And then I remember,
What was once 'said' to me.
And I draw forth the strength,
That exists only in He.
I cannot do this unaided.
I was never meant to anyway.
So I admit my frailty, my weakness.
Drop to my knees and pray.
And I find Grace is sufficient.
That wonders never cease.
And I can finish all He sends me.
And in my soul find peace.

What does it mean if a bird flys into a glass door? It didnt die, it just flew away?

Seems to me that through the thousands of years that religion has developed through human history, there are very few supportable facts (if any) that have emerged to explain existence.

Quantum physics has taken flight basically with Einstein's work a little over a half-century ago. More and more, this science presents amazing - and provable - information concerning the universe. And it is beginning to unravel the mysteries of existence.

Why, then, do people hesitate to embrace science? Why do people choose religion? Some of the basic tenets of religion were laid down well over 5,000 years ago. Humans were bereft of scientific knowledge compared to modern day. How can their ignorant opinions be so widely accepted as truth?
