The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.

If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.
All this talk about sin sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me.

First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.

How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work?

It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.

One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.

Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.

If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.

If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.

How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.

Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.

If this is the case then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.

How likely is that????

Think about it.

The idea of sin is simple nonsense; a lie made up about God by religion.

The Jews were annoyed with what Jesus was doing. So they put it to the Romans that he was inciting revolt. The roman emperor"Pilate" at the the time could not find fault with Jesus and even tried to save Jesus. He offered to release Jesus or Barabbas to the people, the people choose Barabbas.
At the time Romans thought Christianity was a craze and would die out. But it did not, So Romans decided 400 years later to embrace Christianity as there empire crumbled. It seem now that Catholics think they are the true Christians. Only there own interpretation of what Christianity is about that is. Just remember history is written by the conqueror. So lets Look across the globe and see how mighty the Romans really were. So powerful they were that, instead of razing each place they conquered they took over and subdued. So we must be careful in what we believe and choose what is true and false.

Also the Romans invaded England, but could not take Scotland, there chariots etc were not designed for the hilly lands of Scotland so they failed to push into Scotland. This is why they built Hadrian's wall. So since they have brought division between Scotland and England. I am a christian and i disagree with what you say. You may try looking into this a little deeper instead of accusing all Christians of this.

First of all (as many have said) the 'Christians' didn't murder their God. If one can say that any Christian did, it would have to be Judas, who was one of the disciples (and therefore a 'Christian') who betrayed Jesus to the Jewish authorities. They were the ones who wanted rid of him because he had been a thorn in their sides for three years. Since the Romans were the authorities at the time (very much as the International Forces were in Iraq until recently), they were the ones who could perform executions. They examined Jesus briefly and could really find nothing wrong with him but agreed that he should be executed, under pressure from the Jewish authorities.

Second, you have to understand that Jesus is not God. Jesus was a man in every particular (and called himself the 'Son of Man' though he is not recorded as contradicting Peter when he said he thought he was the 'Son of God') and was connected to God in a very special way.

To understand how and why the death of Jesus can atone for all the sins of mankind, you really need to first understand what is meant by 'sin' (it isn't merely disobeying rules written down on stone tablets - Jesus himself said that the 10 commandments could be reduced to two: "You shall love your Lord God and then love your neighbour as you do yourself.")

Having understood what sin is - and you do not have to be a Christian to understand that - you then have to approach the esoteric mysteries of symbolism. Whether or not you can even glimpse the truth behind the symbols is very much determined by whether or not you are intended to. It's a long journey, I can promise, and not for the faint hearted or merely curious!

To answer your question "Is vicarious sacrifice sensible?" I can only say that it is meaningful to some people. If you find it meaningless, why should it bother you?

You have written that some Christians, (here you use a small "c" in Christian) have murdered their God, ( here again you use a small "g" in God.

Who are these Christians who murdered their God? What are you trying to say?

There is only one God. He has never been murdered. I'm at a lost to your hidden meaning.

By the way, God sent His word here to Earth to die for the sins of all mankind. The Kenites sitting in the seat of Moses had Jesus Christ, God's Saviour crucified on the cross.

No Christians had any part in this. You sound a little mixed up? Do you have a copy of the King James Bible to read for comfort and wisdom? Its full of the truth.><>

Christians didn't kill Jesus because there was no Chistians until Christ died. Paul was the one who started to spread the word of Christianity after Jesus died, if I'm not mistaken. To be Christians means you believe in Jesus and follow his teachings obviously those that killed Jesus didn't believe in him so how can you call them Christian?

Acts 11:26
So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.

The people who put Jesus on the cross were christians in name only, true believers wouldn't have done that. Whether or not Jesus actually died on the cross no one can actually know for certain.

With regards to Jesus dying for the sins of Christians. This belief stems from the belief that Eve committed the original sin, eating the forbiden fruit, and so Jesus's death was necessary to atone for her sin thus wiping away everyones sins.

Before Jesus died for us, everybody went to hell. God wanted to stop this so he sent the most precious thing he had. His son. He knew Jesus would be killed by the Romans etc. The Christians did not kill Jesus.

God sacraficed his most precious poccession and watched him painfully be murdered. He did this for you and everybody.

He also sacraficed himself for us and then asked for the people who killed him to be forgiven.

Of course it isn't a sensible doctrine, but you could show more respect in the way you asked the question. If you are a Muslim you are supposed to have good manners towards other people's "idols" - things they may believe in that you don't believe in. If you are not a Muslim, then plain goood manners would still do no harm.

Jesus knew what he was put on this earth for and he willingly died on the cross for our sins so we shall be saved. He said he is the only way to God.
Before Jesus, people sacrificed animals in Gods name for their sins. God said that death is the penalty for sins. But if you believe in Jesus and that he died for our sins, you will have everlasting life in heaven.
